Birmingham teacher competes for national award to fund ‘Magic City Science Bus’ A Birmingham chemistry teacher is competing in a national contest that could bring Bill Nye the Science Guy to her school and fund a mobile classroom to reach students struggling with chronic absenteeism.

Big shoutout to Tristian Carter, Charles Banks, Ja’marcus Taylor and Kaius Stewart (not pictured) for making the AB honor roll!
