Developing the next generation of referees starts at the local level. ⚽️👏

Across Iowa, communities are stepping up to create opportunities for young officials to learn, gain confidence and grow within the game.

In Glenwood, young referees are getting their start with experienced mentors alongside them on the field, providing support, guidance and an environment where they can develop. The program was recently highlighted by KMTV 3 News Now for its work addressing the referee shortage while investing in young people.

That same commitment to referee development is happening at Cedar Valley Soccer Club Recreation. After hosting a referee development clinic last spring, Cedar Valley now has 11 new referees taking the field for recreation games this fall!

We’re proud to see communities investing in referees, mentorship and the future of the game. 💙⚽️
