Our final clinician:

Alaina Cross

Alaina has been involved with the flat shod walking horse industry for almost 30 years as an exhibitor, trainer, and judge. She focuses on developing a sound foundation for both horse and rider so that they can move forward in developing specific goals in and out of the show ring. She has a particular affinity and focus on the versatility events, with both herself and clients holding many national and world level versatility titles for individual events as well as all-around high points and championships. Alaina spends much of her professional time training students and horse show judges across many industries to improve their judging and selection skills. This enables her to have a keen eye to help give exhibitors an edge in the show ring and helps them to understand how to present themselves in the best fashion for the judge and understand what judges are looking for in particular classes.

Let’s meet another clinician:

Kyle Elliott

With a list of accolades as long as he is tall, Kyle is no stranger to the Tennessee Walking Horse winner's circle. Having taken himself and his clients to National, International, and World Championship titles, and claimed wins from the East to the West coast, Kyle Elliott has solidified himself as an industry staple. Priding himself on his horsemanship and careful development of each horse in accordance to their specific conformation and gait, he can be found at most every show on a well muscled, immaculately groomed, and precisely trained equine, facing down the best of the best in industry competition. In an effort to encourage his colleagues to do likewise, Kyle has been a pivotal part of several new show and class offerings, including The Maiden, the highest paying Tennessee Walking Horse class in history, and is involved in clinics, podcasts, and breed outreach opportunities in the community. He works diligently to move the industry forward, both inside of the ring and out. We look forward to the opportunity to learn at the hands of a burgeoning master.

Let’s meet one of our Clinicians:

Jessica Mast

Jessica began riding at age 3, received her first registered Tennessee Walking Horse at the age of 12 and began showing in 4-H and breed shows up to the Regional and National levels. At age 15 she began teaching riding lessons and over the following years had many students go on to compete successfully at State, Regional and National shows.
After attending college at North Carolina State University, Jessica began training professionally. She focuses on producing horse/rider teams that are competitive in many different events in the amateur and youth ranks. Since relocating to Shelbyville, TN in 2015 her amateur and youth riders have won numerous awards at the National and World Championship levels.
Jessica and her husband, David Mast, own and operate Stonewall Farm in Shelbyville, TN where they specialize in training flat-shod Tennessee Walking Horses with an emphasis on effective horsemanship.
