This weekend our team traveled to Sulphur for the FASA Super Regional MVP to end their regular summer season.
These girls put their whole heart into the game, with only 9 girls for the weekend they truly did show out. Though the tournament didn’t end quite how we wanted it to, we have to remember this is our girls’ 3rd tournament together and most of our girls are true 14u competing with 16/18u teams. They worked hard to back each other up and not only play for themselves, but one another.
With that, we had 3 girls truly step up and shine, receiving MVP of the game and getting an invite to the FASA MVP Invitational Camp.

Abbi Flowers #21 (C/O 2029) Stood out in our first bracket game. She made it on base 3 times: 1 single and 2 HBP. She also made her mark on the field with 2 snags, one behind first and one at second base, and overall incredible fielding.

Chloe Creighton #3 (C/O 2029) Made a huge impression in our second bracket game, being our bracket catcher for the weekend. Her strong skills behind the plate shined making every block look easy with the umpire taking note and taking time to point out her skill.

Bella Stafford #4 (C/O 2029) Truly stood out in our 3rd bracket game. Not only did she work her tail off on the mound this game, but she pitched a majority of the games this weekend without any complaints or arguing. She truly showed up for her team this weekend putting in the work on the mound and at the plate.

Overall we couldn’t be more proud of our girls. With their hard work they got an invite to the FASA MVP Invitational. This truly is a special group of girls and it’s amazing watching them bond and play for each other in such a short time. We’re excited to see where these girls will go.

Even with a few rainouts and schedule changes, our girls found ways to make the weekend memorable.

After rain delays led to Saturday’s games being canceled, several of our girls took the initiative to organize a team bonding outing at the bowling alley. It was a fun way for the girls to grow closer, share some laughs, and continue building the strong team chemistry that makes the Vandals special.

On Sunday, the girls returned to the field, doing what they love and celebrating Father’s Day with some of their biggest supporters.

Although the weekend didn’t unfold exactly as planned, we couldn’t be prouder of the way these athletes continue to support one another, both on and off the field. Their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitudes are what make the Vandals family so special.

Due to personal circumstances, a few of our girls are unfortunately no longer able to attend Nationals, July 13–18. We are currently looking for 2–3 experienced 16B pitchers and/or outfielders who would be interested in joining us for an exciting week of competitive softball!
