Going to be another bittersweet day, Friday August 28th! Ethan's final Bandolero race at Tomah Sparta Speedway. If you haven't gotten a chance to get out and see him in a Bandolero race, this is your last chance!

❤️❤️❤️ Last DRP Bandolero Update Ever 💔💔💔

Saturday. August 22nd, 2026

Was a long day. As some of you may know. The last DRP race we had, we got word on the way to the track that a very special person had gained her wings that morning. Well this morning we headed to the track to park the truck, trailer, and car to then head to her memorial. It was a little bit of a different way to start our race day.

Off the trailer with no adjustments & I believe the only check on the car was the oil. He had ran 17.383 bring him to 13th fastest and 0.977 behind Westley Baumeister at 16.406. He definitely had some thoughts when he came in about the car. He wasn't unhappy with the car and that was kinda different this time around.

We made some adjustments and checked over a few things to make a few small changes.

2nd practice picked up some speed. He ran a 17.191 which was 0.192 faster then 1st practice. This extra speed brought him up to 12th fastest being 0.621 on Oliver Weinkauf with his 16.570. He gained on the faster cars still. Bringing him 0.356 closer then 1st practice.

Track was slick. Found out in drivers meeting that there was no traction compounds on the track left from previous weekends. This would explain the slick feeling Ethan was talking about. So we tightened up the car a bit and made some more adjustments before qualifying.

Group qualifying like normal. Not sure if some drivers just get into there own heads but Ethan always has had a hard time with qualifying. His times always drop some from practice. They where taking the top 14 into the feature. No transfer spots from the B-main so you had to time into the main feature.

Qualified 13th out of 21 drivers, with a 17.207 lost a little bit but normally do in qualifying. He was 0.727 off the pole time of 16.480 for Oliver Weinkauf. That had us 0.727 off the pole but still in the show. One of the Oldenhoff boys got the wall in practice and was able to get the car back together before racing started. They had him come out and run 2 qualifying laps and that bumped Ethan to 14th but still in the main feature.

Changed plugs, changed air pressure and tighten it up a bit more.

Heat race, had a 7 car invert so that put Ethan on the pole P1 out of 7. Picked up speed for sure to a 16.975 and with Axle Oldenhoff having the fastest lap at 16.765 he was only 0.210 off the fastest lap. He did drop back a few spots and finished P5.

For his last feature at DRP in his Bandolero he would start in P14. He was told to just wait it out. With it being Championship night, the front is going to get wild and there will be cautions. He was patient and let them all bump, bang, and wipe out. The last thing we wanted was to take out championship contenders for a Championship when we had no chance at this point for a championship. Respect what they have accomplished with their season. He ended up being a top 10 finish with a P10. Also picked up alot more speed out there. It seems with the older motors it takes about 4-5 laps to get his momentum built up and he starts catching them. When it's a caution filled it's hard to get that momentum building. With a fast lap of 16.846 put him only 0.509 off Oliver Weinkauf fastest lap of the race with 16.337.

We had some supporters in the stands again tonight and greatly appreciate them all.
