The deadlift bar won the last video. So I went after the bench — same day.
225 for 11.5 — yes, half a rep, the rack ate #12. Then 245 twice. Then a 275 single. Three plates is 315. My PR is 295, but I could feel it wasn’t there today. No forcing it. Live to pull another day.
Here’s the thing: I’m not chasing a number. I’m chasing the guy who couldn’t do a single push-up two years ago. The bar always gets raised, so the bar always wins. That’s the point.

Chased four plates today. The bar won.
Two years ago I got winded lifting my laptop bag. Today I pulled 385 on a surgically repaired ankle — and missed 405.
Good. The bar always gets raised, so the bar always wins. If you catch the bar, you aren’t setting your goals high enough.

315 lbs didn’t mean I was weak. It meant my system was.

Grok flatters me by adding more muscle to my cartoon renderings. But I love that AI is getting better with logos and text (mostly). It got Gold’s Gym ok but didn’t get my ranch logo right. I can live with that.
