Another great weekend in Greensboro, GA, at the High Stakes Productions Team Roping! 🎉
Tanner won the #9.5 heading with Matt Jarriel! A huge thanks to High Stakes Productions for putting on a great roping. It was a great day doing what we love and spending time with friends!

Little Red has been with us for a few months now and we are very proud of the progress he has made. There's nothing better than watching a young heel horse put it all together and make it look easy!
It's humbling to see what has come from taking in a few horses on the side to now having a full barn of outside horses to train, along with riding and roping lessons each week.
Through every step, God has been so faithful. There were seasons we couldn't see what was ahead, didn't know how it would all come together, and He still made a way, opening doors, sending the right people, and providing exactly what we needed right on time. 🙏🤎

We are so proud of them and their hard work! It was such a fun experience watching them compete on "Bucky," Ashley's former rope horse, who is now enjoying retirement while helping take care of the kids and getting them started in the arena!

Today, we are taking a moment to say how grateful we are for the freedom we have in this country; the freedom to work hard, chase our goals, and do what we truly love. This 4th of July feels even more meaningful as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday! We're so thankful for those who have served and sacrificed so we can live, work, and ride in freedom.

Kinsley and Briggs competed in their first Junior Rodeo this weekend, and we couldn’t be more proud of them! They both came home with first place finishes in their events.
We are so excited to watch them grow, learn, and make memories as we begin this new adventure with our kids. Here’s to many more rodeos ahead! 🤠🤎

During these hot summer months, one of the most important things horse owners can do is learn to recognize the signs of heat stress. ☀️
Performance horses work hard, and high temperatures and humidity can affect them much more quickly than we realize. Knowing what to look for can help prevent a minor issue from becoming a serious health concern.
Some signs of heat stress include:
• Rapid breathing that doesn't slow down after exercise
• Excessive sweating or they quit sweating suddenly
• Elevated heart rate
• Weakness, lethargy, or acting unusually tired
• Muscle tremors or stumbling
• Decreased appetite or reluctance to move
At Cope Performance Horses, we adjust our training schedule when temperatures rise and make sure our horses have access to plenty of fresh water, a cool environment to work, and adequate time to cool down properly. Managing horses in the heat isn't just good practice; it's essential for their health, recovery, and long-term performance.
As horse owners, it's important to remember that our horses rely on us to recognize when they're struggling. Sometimes the best thing we can do is slow down, pay attention to what they're telling us, and give them the time and care they need to recover.
