Why your chest isn’t popping yet (and how to fix it):
1️⃣ Your body fat is too high
You can build your chest all you want, but if your body fat is high… definition won’t show.
2️⃣ You’re not training chest with intent
Slow reps, full stretch, and control matter more than just moving weight.
3️⃣ You’re skipping incline work
Upper chest is what gives that “pop” look — don’t ignore it.
4️⃣ Your diet isn’t consistent
Getting lean is what reveals the work you’re putting in.
5️⃣ You’re not giving it time
Muscle + fat loss both take consistency. Stay locked in.
Train smart + get lean = that chest starts showing 💪
Tag someone who needs to hear this!!!
And remember
Results vary with consistency
5 Foods to Cut If You’re Trying to Get Lean
Trying to burn fat but still not seeing results?
These 5 foods might be holding you back—here’s what to swap them with so you can lean out without starving 👇🏽
1. 🚫 Sugary Drinks
Avoid: Soda, sweet teas, sugary coffee drinks
Liquid calories add up fast and don’t fill you up.
Swap with:
✅ Sparkling water + lemon or electrolytes
✅ Black coffee or zero-cal sweetener
✅ Unsweetened teas
2. 🍟 Deep-Fried Foods
Avoid: Fries, fried chicken, onion rings
Tastes good—but loaded with oil and unnecessary calories.
Swap with:
✅ Air-fried versions (same crunch, way less oil)
✅ Grilled or baked chicken/fish
✅ Baked sweet potato fries
3. 🥐 Pastries & Baked Sweets
Avoid: Donuts, muffins, croissants
These are straight sugar + butter bombs
Swap with:
✅ Protein pancakes or microwave mug cakes
✅ Greek yogurt + berries + cinnamon
✅ Rice cakes + banana + peanut butter
4. 🍰 Ice Cream & Desserts
Avoid: Ice cream, cake, brownies
You feel great for 10 minutes, then crash
Swap with:
✅ Protein ice cream (store-bought or homemade)
✅ Greek yogurt + cocoa powder + almond butter
✅ Frozen banana slices dipped in dark chocolate
5. 🥡 Processed Snacks
Avoid: Chips, crackers, candy bars
Easy to binge, no real nutrition.
Swap with:
✅ Air-popped popcorn or roasted chickpeas
✅ Low-sugar jerky
✅ Fruit + a handful of almonds or walnuts
“I hate running” 😅
Good thing cardio doesn’t have to mean running.
Jump rope is another great way to get your heart rate up, improve coordination, and get a quick sweat in. 😉✌🏿
What’s your go-to cardio when you don’t feel like running?
You don’t need complicated equipment to start building a stronger core.
These 7 mat exercises are beginner friendly and easy 30mins workout to do at home.
Focus on control, keep your core tight, and don’t rush the reps.
Save this one for your next core day. 💪
Progress doesn’t always look exciting.
Sometimes it’s just doing the same movements, week after week, and trusting that the reps are adding up.
Different day. Same work. Same commitment.
That’s how the physique changes.
What exercise have you been staying consistent with lately?
Some days the motivation is there. Some days it isn’t.
Either way, the work still gets done.
I’m learning that getting in shape isn’t about having the perfect workout every day, It’s about continuing to show up, especially when life gets busy.
One session at a time. One better decision at a time. 💪🏾
Foods I ate to go from 221 lbs → 186 lbs 👇
I stopped overcomplicating everything.
No weird diet.
No starving myself.
I just started eating foods that actually kept me full so I wouldn’t binge or snack all day.
1. Ground turkey 🍗
High protein.
Easy to make.
Keeps you full way longer than fast food.
I’d season it heavy too.
Being healthy doesn’t mean eating bland food.
2. Ground chicken 🍚
One of my go-to meals.
Usually with rice or potatoes.
Simple meals work best because it’s easier to stay consistent with them.
3. Cottage cheese 🥣
Most people sleep on this.
High protein.
Low calorie.
Actually fills you up.
Helped me stop late night snacking a lot.
4. Eggs 🍳
Cheap.
Easy protein.
Good for breakfast or whenever.
I’d make scrambled eggs all the time instead of grabbing random junk food.
5. Avocados 🥑
People are scared of healthy fats…
but avocado kept me full and stopped me from craving garbage all day.
6. Almonds 🌰
Easy snack when I was on the go.
Way better than chips or candy.
Just don’t mindlessly eat the whole bag 😭
The biggest thing that changed everything for me:
I stopped eating for comfort and started eating with a goal.
That’s when my body started changing fast.
Most people don’t need some crazy diet…
they just need meals that keep them consistent.
221 → 186.
Follow if you’re trying to lock in better habits and change your body 🔥
