In the land of peach trees and pine.
Walking down Peachtree Street,
Representing 33rd and 7th every single time.
They talk that southern classic,
They love the tempo slow,
But my heart beats to that 90s BOOM BAP,
That Garden hardwood glow.
Surrounded by red and black,
Yeah, the ATL got love,
But when the city lights flicker,
It’s the New York sky I’m dreamin’ of.
From Douglas County to the Empire State,
Distance can’t break the bond.
It’s more than just a game to us—
It’s the culture we’re built upon.
So let them talk their talk and respect to the south,
We bring the energy, the drive, the tone.

COACH SAM MITCHELL.
The only other coach I wanted for our KNICKS prior to Thibbs. He was a former COACH OF THE YEAR and had a similar methodology as MIKE BROWN.
With no coaching opportunity while there were many coaching vacancies, Coach Mitchell gave up the clipboard to be one of the most outspoken NBA commentators of the previous era.
Who knows what dynasty we could have had. The KNICKS had the opportunity to get a players coach prior to Thibbs.🤔

ELFRID PAYTON!!
KNICKS GUARD 2019-2021!
He was a solid player that was quietly below the radar. He never emerged as "that dude". He was a great defender playing against 1-3. I had hoped he could develop into a consistent 13 pt 7 assist type hybrid PG/SG.
He has since played on quite a few teams with the last stint as a journeyman in the G League!
True Gentleman.
Wishing him the best still!

What if we picked up St. John's Hero/Bronx's own Walter "THE TRUTH" Berry with the 5th pick in 86 instead of Kenny "SKY" WALKER?
He played 3 years pro here in the states but was a monster over season. He was indudcted into the Greek Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.
