Today was one of those full-circle moments that really meant a lot to me. I spent the day training UGA great JT Wall and his son Asa, who has committed to play football at the University of Georgia. I trained JT back when he played at Georgia and later in the NFL, so getting to now work with him and his son is pretty special.
Then after we finished training and were getting ready to leave, a car pulled into my son Tripp’s training facility. I couldn’t tell who it was at first because I was inside looking out into the sun. I saw JT walk over and hug this big guy, and when I stepped outside I immediately recognized him, former UGA great and first-round Oakland Raiders draft pick Matt Stinchcomb, another guy I had the privilege of training during his career.
Matt just happened to stop by after seeing the turf inside Tripp’s facility and wanted to check it out. Next thing you know, we were all like little kids, hugging, laughing, loving on each other, and talking about the old days.
Just a great day for me… having my son Tripp there, JT there, and Matt there, all guys I’ve had the blessing to train. Moments like that mean a lot.
