There is something deeply regulating about the patterns and beauty found in nature.

When we really look—slowing down and giving something our full observational attention—we receive a kind of sensory satisfaction that a screen simply cannot offer.

The colors. The shapes. The exquisite repetition. The tiny details.

Natural beauty invites the nervous system to pause, reset and remember: in this moment, there is beauty—and something is still okay. 🌸

What beauty will you take time to truly notice today?

Finding beauty doesn’t erase challenge, loss or grief. It gently builds our capacity to hold the full nuance of life—the sorrow and the glimmers, side by side. 🦋

What glimmer found you today?

Much of what we call “who I am” may actually be a role we learned to play in order to belong, to feel safe, or to be loved.

The deeper work is not to reject that role, but to become conscious of it… and gently rediscover the Self waiting beneath it.

What part of you is ready to step out from behind the role and be seen?

Look at this little guy! 🐸

I paused to take in this beauty as I was leaving a friend’s house.

What beauty did you notice today?

So much beauty in the world…

A reminder of the simple practice of lingering just a little longer with the beautiful things.

Look. Absorb. Remember. 🌸

What is your relationship with being seen?

Sometimes visibility feels dangerous, so we hide our light, make ourselves smaller, or become identified with the adaptations that once kept us safe.

At other times, the longing to be seen can become a need to dominate, control, or occupy all the space.

Tonight in Moon Calendar Conversations, we’ll explore the Leo invitation: developing the courage to stand fully in our own light while remaining compassionate and connected to others.

Not me or you—but me and you. ✨

I’m honored to be facilitating Living in Rhythm this week with the Amputee Social Group in partnership with Hanger Clinic, Strive Recreational Therapy, and Broward County Parks & Recreation.

This won’t just be a drum circle. It’s an opportunity to experience the profound impact that rhythm, music, and shared creativity can have on wellbeing, confidence, belonging, and joy.

No musical experience is needed—just a willingness to show up, play, and discover that the rhythm is already within you.

If you know someone in the South Florida amputee community who might enjoy this experience, please feel free to share.

📍 Central Broward Park
🗓 Wednesday, August 5
⏰ 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM

I’m looking forward to making music together.

There is something deeply healing about making rhythm together.

As our hands move in alternating patterns across the drum, we engage bilateral integration—strengthening communication between the brain’s hemispheres while deepening presence, focus, and emotional regulation.

And then something more emerges.

As people breathe, listen, laugh, and create a shared rhythm, our nervous systems begin to co-regulate. We soften. We connect. We remember that beneath our stories, titles, and differences, we share the same human heartbeat.

This is embodiment.

Not thinking about life…
Living it.

Not performing…
Belonging.

Not becoming someone else…
Remembering who we already are.

For 30 years, I’ve watched rhythm dissolve barriers between strangers and awaken joy, connection, and aliveness. It still amazes me how quickly a room of individuals becomes a community.

Much of our suffering comes from what happens after the pain arrives.

We brace.
We harden.
We contract.
We turn away from the very parts of us that need us most.

What if, instead of fighting your pain, you turned toward it?

Not to fix it.
Not to make it disappear.
Simply to meet it with compassion.

Right now, take a slow exhale.

Allow your shoulders to soften.
Unclench your jaw.
Place one or both hands somewhere on your body that is asking for your attention.

Then ask:

“What do you need?”

More often than not, the answer is:

✨ Support.
✨ Encouragement.
✨ Rest.
✨ Gentle kindness.
✨ Permission to simply be.

This simple act of turning toward ourselves begins to soften the protective armor we’ve carried for so long. It reminds our nervous system that we no longer have to fight, but we are beginning to build a safe home inside.

Healing doesn’t begin by changing what we feel, it begins by changing how we meet what we feel.

Today, may you take a moment to offer yourself the tenderness and compassion you so deeply need.
