New Year's Eve Ride to Metal Creek
Tuesday, December 31, 2013
Kink Glacier Ride - Goal 100 rigs at Metal Creek at 11:30pm for bonfire and BBQ. I will not be riding this one. I don't have an enclosed cab and a night ride is really cold. There are 33 people saying they are going today. Some from the Outdoor Assoc. and the big truckers. Everyone is riding out at different times so if you plan to go on this ride get a buddy to ride up with. Takes two machines to make a ride, be safe!
Knik Glacier Trails Ride Saturday December 7, 2013 - Looks like the best day to ride will be this Saturday, Dec. 7th. The weather forecast is for sunny and a high of 36 degrees F. Meet at the Knik River Bridge on the Old Glenn Highway at 11 am. If anyone wants to ride Knik Saturday post up before Friday evening.

Denali Alaska Highway Trails rides Labor Day Weekend
George and Johnny Brown, Mary and Stew Gail , me and Beverly and wildcatgirl are still going on this trip as of today. There are no high water crossings on the Roosevelt Lake trail nor on the Copper Mine Trail. Snodgrass Lake Trail is always a muddy mess and last July there had been several rock slides across the trail. We can try to ride Snodgrass Trail or not, will make the decision when we get up there.
As far as the watercrossings on the trail to the big campground. They are the same. I have no trouble with my rig crossing and it has low clearance. Some of the others on the July ride did not want to cross the first creek on the campground trail so they camped to the right in a smaller clearing and drove on down to the big campground in their ATVs. Since there is not a large group, I can wait for you at the camping space before the first creek on the road to the big campground and when everyone arrives we can decide to go father to camp or not. I will have a big ATV banner at the left turn gravel road just past the Susitna River Bridge and the clearing is just past that on the right.
If you are going on this ride please speak up so I will be looking for you. I will be riding my orange RZR and with the two white dogs you can't miss me. Lets get out and ride Denali Labor Day Weekend. This will be my last Denali ride of this year. Come on and join us!
