Spartans Wrestling Club

Spartans Wrestling Club had a couple boys get in some work this weekend at Carr’s Cat 5 Chaos Tournament down in Perry, GA.

Jackson Grantham had a great showing going 4-1 for Level Up in the 15u dual tournament.

Connor Martin went 2-0 in the 12u 70 lb division in the individual open tournament taking 1st place.

Parents, for our new 9th graders, there are wrestling information meetings next week for the men’s and women’s high school teams. They’ll go over everything related to the upcoming high school wrestling season.

The women’s team meeting is August 18th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the wrestling room.

The men’s team meeting is August 19th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the wrestling room.

We’re looking forward to seeing the kids there.

Some of our Spartan Wrestling Club kids wrestled in the Deep South National Duals Tournament in Birmingham, AL. They got a lot of great experience over 3 days of wrestling.

Hina Anderson earn All-American status by helping two teams. She helped Team AR-15 get 3rd in the K-8 Freestyle Duals and 5th in the K-8 Folkstyle Duals. She helped Morris Fitness get 16th in the High School Folkstyle Duals.

Jackson Grantham, Tetsu Anderson and Connor Martin helped Level Up Wrestling Center place 15th out of 35 teams in the K-8 Duals.

Oliver Oei helped Level Up Wrestling Center place 17th out of 56 teams in the High School Duals.

These kids battled hard all weekend against high level competition. We couldn’t be prouder of their work and effort. It’s all going to play off in the upcoming season.
