🚴‍♂️ Pre RAGBRAI training goals reached! I rode some miles and climbed a bunch of hills. The hardest is yet to come, but I'm doing it for a good cause!
The Roadie Clinic empowers and heals roadies and their families. Don’t miss this opportunity to help fund mental health services, educational resources, and advocacy efforts for those who keep live music alive!
I'm covering all my expenses; everything earned here goes directly to The Roadie Clinic. Please donate whatever your budget allows. Even a quick share can help spread the word and make a difference.

Yesterday was RAGBRAI bike prep day. New tires and tubes, new bar tape, lubed the chain and axles. And new shoe cleats for good measure.
35 mile ride this morning to make sure I didn’t mess anything up! Ready to ride.

This will be my 9th RAGBRAI, I’ve got nothing to prove. So this year I’m doing it for a cause. Use the link in my bio to donate to The Roadie Clinic

$1/ mile ride = $400
50/ mile = $200
10/ mile = $40

These are suggestions, please donate whatever your budget allows.

Just launched my ride for RAGBRAI 2026 to support The Roadie Clinic! 🚴‍♂️ I figured someone should benefit from all the miles I ride and hills I climb, so this year I'm doing it for a good cause that empowers and heals roadies and their families. Your support can help fund mental health services, educational resources, and advocacy efforts for these incredible heroes.
I'm covering all my expenses; everything earned here will go straight to The Roadie Clinic. The ride is 400 miles; if your budget allows, consider donating $1 per mile—but every bit helps, so donate what you can! Even a quick share can help spread the word and make a difference.

Follow my updates on The Efficient Hustle Instagram and Facebook all week, and thank you so much for your kindness and support! đź’™

Please share or donate if you can—together, we can create a safe space for those who keep the music and touring alive.

One time on tour, I left a road case of equipment in Japan and had to figure out how to retrieve it. (Another time, the band and crew left me behind in Tokyo; a different story I'll share another time.)
I learned from that mistake and put checks and balances in place to ensure I didn’t leave equipment (or people) behind again. And I must admit that I have left other things behind since then. But it happened when I wasn’t using my own tried-and-true systems!

In The Tour and Production Management Workshop, I share the systems I’ve implemented, so you can avoid making mistakes like these.

Visit my web site for details on The Workshop.

I met these JetBlue agents a few years back when I was leaving the country for a summer Europe tour with Welshly Arms. I let one of the agents know I needed our carnet stamped BEFORE we checked everything in. She had no idea what I was talking about…

I had researched the departure airport in advance, and I knew there was no landside customs office, which meant I couldn’t just show up and have my carnet stamped. So, I called customs, and they asked me to have an airline representative call them when I arrived.

After explaining to the JetBlue agents what a carnet was and my process for checking in a large amount of equipment, they were quick to follow my lead, and before long, I was behind the counter helping them.

The entire process was painless. I never regret being organized and prepared.

Do you ever wonder how a band gets equipment (collectively called the fly pack) to shows when they fly to a show, or overseas for a tour?

There are a few ways to do this, each requiring attention to detail. Naturally, the cost goes up as the burden on the crew goes down.

In my new Tour and Production Management Workshop, I explain hand-carrying and shipping gear around the world, how to determine which is the best option for your tour, and how a carnet will ensure a pleasant customs experience.

Today is the last day for 10% off all course offerings!
