Almost one year ago, Rhonda and I launched The Executive Edge because we wanted to create the kind of leadership conversations we couldn't always find elsewhere.

Real conversations. Practical ideas. Small-group discussions with leaders who care deeply about people and performance.

Since October 2025, we've had the privilege of engaging 43 senior leaders on topics ranging from Leading Beyond Dysfunction to The Executive Storyteller.

Now we're kicking off our final session before Year 2:

Adaptive Leadership in the Age of Change Fatigue

If you're trying to lead through shifting priorities, uncertainty, and change exhaustion, we'd love to have you join us.

If your team feels disconnected, fragmented, or stuck in low morale, you're not imagining it. And you're not alone in it. Leaders across industries are navigating the same tension right now.

In this session you'll walk away with:

âś… Practical strategies to strengthen trust, communication, and cohesion across your team.

âś… Real peer connection with senior leaders who understand what you're carrying right now.

âś… And space to reflect, process, and think through your next move with people who are in the work, not just talking about it.

This is your final chance to register. And if there's someone in your network who needs to be in this room, bring them with you!

Managers matter more than ever right now.

Gallup says managers account for 70% of the variance in team engagement. In plain speak, that means how you experience work depends more on your direct manager than on your company's culture, benefits, or leadership team.

And right now, many of those managers are navigating layoffs, rising performance expectations, and AI disruption while trying to keep their own mental health and wellbeing intact.

One leader put it to me this way: "I can be practical for my team. I can focus on what's in front of us right now. But I'm struggling to build genuine positivity for myself."

They don't need another pep talk. They need anchors and space to process their way forward.

That's exactly what we'll explore in our upcoming Executive Edge session:
United We Thrive: Driving Team Cohesion Through Belonging & Connection.

Rhonda and I are creating space for senior leaders to explore how to build consistent connection and trust across their teams, especially in high-pressure cultures where everyone is being asked to do more with less.

For the last 6 months I've been coaching leaders through multiple company layoffs.

According to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, U.S. employers announced 300,749 job cuts through April 2026, including 85,411 in tech alone. That's the industry I most often support.

But numbers don't capture what I'm actually witnessing up close.

Here's what I hear in coaching rooms right now:

👉🏾 Leaders describing a kind of helplessness they've never felt before.
👉🏾 Teams that used to be collaborative are becoming more withholding, more competitive. 👉🏾 Managers who have always been able to rally their people are saying, for the first time, "I don't have an answer to give them."

Many of them are focusing on what they can control, which is their own mental health and wellbeing. They're doing it out of necessity, trying to balance demands of doing more with less. Their teams are getting smaller. The pressure to perform is louder. And in the back of their minds, they're wondering if they could be next.

One theme keeps surfacing: leaders don't need more motivation. They need an anchor. Something to hold onto so they can steady themselves while they steady their teams.

That's what Rhonda and I are building space for on June 2nd. Not surface-level team bonding. We’re hosting a real conversation about what it takes to lead through sustained uncertainty when nobody's handing you a playbook.

Join us Tuesday, June 2 at 12 PM EST for “United We Thrive: Driving Team Cohesion Through Belonging & Connection.”

You’ll leave with a focused plan to build environments where you and your people feel valued and contribute at their highest level.

I hope to see you there!

Is it me, or are most people feeling webinar fatigue?

In preparing for our upcoming Executive Edge session, Rhonda and I had an honest conversation about this. We've both sat through webinars that promised transformation and delivered… a sales pitch wrapped in generic advice we already knew.

We don't want to provide that experience for anyone. And frankly, that's the bar we hold each other to every time we plan a session.

So, we asked ourselves: what would make a busy senior leader protect this hour on their calendar and actually walk away happy?

Our commitment: Give people something practical they can use that week — not someday. And create space for connection with other leaders who are navigating the same pressures.

At our last event, one of our attendees told us she wished our sessions were longer! That kind of feedback that lets us know we're on to something meaningful.

But, don't take our word for it! Join us Tuesday, June 2 at 12 PM EST for “United We Thrive: Driving Team Cohesion Through Belonging & Connection.”

Rhonda will lead us through intentional leadership practices that strengthen bonds and trust in times of chaos, uncertainty and upheaval.

I hope to see you there!

Research from Lancaster University and the Institute of Directors shows an interesting tension:
• 83% of senior leaders say generational diversity benefits their organization
• 39% report communication and collaboration challenges related to age differences
• 83% of employees say communication style differences matter

Yet most organizations address this informally with no strategic guidance or structured development paths to engage or improve results.

Let’s talk about that gap and what we can do about it!
