WILD LEAVES 🍃 Same design, different color mix. Sometimes when I’m slammed with work, I run out of the colors to fulfill a design. Therefore I need to recreate the same design but adjusting the color mix. One time, a customer told me that I am a genius at the way I mix color. That was a great compliment. I thank her so much.

Speaking of thanks, I want to send gratitude to all of my customers and your patience. Being in demand is a great thing. Especially since I’ve been a one woman show for nearly 15 years. I’m deeply humbled and grateful for all the business that comes my way. I never take it for granted. As Heidi Klum says, one day you are in and the next day you are out. 😊 Your orders are being processed everyday. Handcraft just takes a bit of time and I’m grateful for your understanding.

Peace and love 💕

I’ve never cried exploring a museum exhibit before until I visited Amy Sherald’s American Sublime exhibition High Museum of Art in Atlanta over the weekend. Viewing the video portion, and listening to the tradegy and love story of Breonna Taylor was so moving. I’m so grateful that Breonna lives through Sherald’s work.

As with my visit to Art Basel last month, here I am again taking in beautiful, color infused and meaningful art. Most of Sherald’s work is so relatable. Possibly because I too was raised in southern Georgia and that I also bring my upbringing into my work.

It was a true honor to finally be able to see a full exhibition. I love her concentration on ordinary black American life and her intentional symbolic insertions within her art. I get it and I’m a huge fan.
I encourage everyone to visit the High to see the work by the insightful A M Y S H E R A L D, a great American artist.

NIA symbolizes brightness, purpose and determination. Dug from my woven archives, I revitalized this design with an aluminum bead in the color of chartreuse. Chartreuse for me is so versatile because it pairs well with multiple colors from a dark to light color spectrum. I believe it is a wonderful spring accessory. 🪸

During Women’s International month I’m so happy to prepare an order that includes the NIA earrings for a long time museum customer. Women 👯‍♂️ supporting women. SUPPORT IS A VERB.

Weaving stories. 🪡

Resurrecting old designs 🟠 I’ve been weaving so long. I have a lot of designs that I think are really nice but really time consuming. This is one design that needs a comeback…maybe on my next line sheet.

I’m happy customers are feeling the hand beading love. I didn’t take a real break during the holidays because I worked through them with a quick stop for dinner with family. However that’s all part of being an entrepreneur. At least the reward comes when your work is in demand. ☺️ For that, I’m deeply grateful.

Share the love of handmade with someone. ❤️

This month I am featured in Communique magazine. Mingei is one of my favorite customers. I’m always excited when I receive an order from them. The earrings shown are named Mid Century modern. They are truly a unique design. The bead weaving is not in an efficient path so I really have to pay attention to my flow when I make them. They are new to my line so I’m very grateful that Mingei sees my vision in art and has recognized me as an artist 👨🏿‍🎨 representing their shop.

The gift of unique handcraft is what I try to offer. Please help sustain individualized thinking brought by artisans around the world. Shop local, support museums, small shops and galleries. ✊🏽

The best way to shop this holiday is to head to your local museum shop, gallery or small boutiques. Here is a photo of my work . You can find more of my stockists on my website at www.trecybleich.com.

Patronizing these establishments doesn’t only mean you are supporting me but you are also supporting art, culture and established humanity that AI cannot replace. You are supporting human thoughts, skills, emotions and decades of education compiled by all involved including shop keepers, curators, artisans, patrons, business owners, architects etc.

Drive to these places and keep up the support not only during Christmas 🎅🏾 but all year.

Keep hope alive and have a glorious holiday. 🎄

Sometimes you just need to give a moment to yourself. I was invited to visit Originale in Germany and I enjoyed being present amongst the artisans.
It’s a late post. 🫣
