to get a card or a ball autographed by our heroes. Trading cards, memorizing stats by heart, ripping open wax packs. But as I got older, sports started taking a backseat to other priorities: grades, girls, jobs. Starting a family. Until one day, my parents dropped off an old cardboard box from their attic. Inside were relics from the past, including my old trading cards. Opening that box was like stepping into a time machine. It all came rushing back. The familiar smell of card stock. The memories of hunting for hidden gems at garage sales and flea markets. Putting on neighborhood card shows with the other kids and their parents. I carefully cradled cards that once felt so much larger in my hands. From that moment on, I was re-hooked. I started collecting again, which turned into streaming breaks late into the nights, which turned into selling sealed wax on the side, which turned into the idea for Giant Sports Cards. I wanted to help fellow collectors, rookies, and veterans alike pursue their passion and create memories of their own. But Giant isn’t a one-man show; it’s an all-star team of fellow collectors and sports nuts who live for this stuff. We aim to be the best in the business–the kind of card shop we could have only dreamt of when we first started collecting – one that combines the speed, convenience, and accessibility of online shopping with the human touch of the local card shops we grew up with. We could have easily stayed online-only or built a small, simple shop like those all over the country that haven’t modernized in the last 30 years. Instead, we wanted to change the game.
