“Dyslexic coach, 30+ years lived experience. Helping neurodivergent adults trade shame for understanding, one practical step at a time.”

Someone I’ve been working with recently sent me this message.

They’ve asked to stay anonymous, which I completely understand, but they also kindly gave me permission to share their words. So here they are, exactly as they wrote them.

💛

“For as long as I can recall I remember feeling like the odd one out or an outsider because I couldn’t seem to grasp concepts as fast as those around me. I felt stupid and lazy and I became someone who failed at everything I tried. People just assumed that I didn’t care, but in reality I was shutting down.

Tamzin helped me open myself back up to the world. She didn’t just say what others would say — she physically included me in communities with people with similar issues and changed my way of perceiving the world in a more positive way.

She has helped me in many ways that I don’t know how to put into words, and just knowing that I can always send her a message has been brilliant.”

💛

I’m sharing this because I know this person isn’t the only one who’s ever felt that way.

Not the odd one out.
Not stupid.
Not lazy.
Not failing.

Just trying to navigate a world that never quite worked the way their brain works.

If any part of this feels familiar, I’d love you to join me for my free live session:

Instead of telling people what to do, try asking questions. It encourages reflection, leads to self-discovery, and spreads knowledge. By guiding others to think for themselves, they grasp the 'why' and share the insight with others. Give it a go and see just how different the reactions are from everyone around you.

Instead of isolating, communicating feelings fosters understanding. Being open allows others to make informed decisions and strengthens relationships. Effective communication is key to building trust and creating better connections with people. Have you felt this?
