We’re less than a week away from the primary election. Whether you’re Republican or Democrat, I truly hope you show up and vote for whichever candidate represents you best on Tuesday.
Plaistow friends, as someone who has lived with Type 1 Diabetes over half my life, healthcare is personal to me. Stefany Shaheen has a daughter who also has Type 1, so when she talks about making healthcare and prescription drugs more affordable and easier to navigate, I know that passion comes from a very real place.
I’ve also seen how much she cares about public education. She came to Plaistow earlier this year and sat down with us at the Performing Arts Center to listen, learn, and talk about the challenges facing our schools.
All of the candidates have compelling stories. I’ve met most, and feel as though they are all in this campaign for the right reasons.
Healthcare. Public education. Showing up and listening. These things matter to me, and I know they matter to Stefany too. I hope you consider her with your vote on Tuesday, and again on November 3rd.
