Man, I owe an apology to all our fans and crew. I know I wasn’t too exciting to watch during the first half, but toward the end I finally let my nuts hang and went after it.
I can’t thank my crew enough. These guys put in more work behind the scenes than most people ever see, and I’ll always be grateful for every one of them. Uncle Keith, Nick, Matt, Noah, Austin, and Parker all pulled their weight and helped give me a car I could go race with.
We also want to give some love to our extended racing family. Doug and Dakoda made the trip up to the Rim and got some valuable track time in, and we’re extremely happy for them. Doug has also been a huge help to our team, sharing his time, experience, and knowledge whenever we’ve needed it. We appreciate everything he continues to do for Walsh Racecraft. Also our extended family with Austin and his team that went down to Sayre this weekend. We had a busy weekend for the gang!
Chief had me attacking the corner tonight — hell of a job. There’s something a little different about knowing the one person who wants to see you succeed just as much as he wants to win himself is right there in your rearview mirror. It definitely makes you think twice.
A special thank-you to the crew that keeps this #4 going:
• Crew Chief — Gary Walsh
• Upcoming Spotter — Nick Walsh
• Lead Crewman — Keith Walsh
• Assistant Lead Crewman — Matt Cordle
• Assistant Lead Crewman — Noah Dameron
• Crewman — Parker Swords
• Additional Second Crew Chief — Doug Emerson
And a special thank-you to our media team for keeping everyone following along:
• Wallace Kendrick
• Emilie Bell
Last but definitely not least, please support the sponsors who support us. They’re a huge part of what keeps this team on the track:
• Swords Mobile Detail — Manning Swords
• H&M Prestige General Contracting — Kevin Wilcox & Adam Merrell
• Metal Masters — Austin Finley
• John Thomas Race Engines — John Thomas & Cole Bagwell
• Alabama Dent Repair — Doug Newton
Thank you to everybody who continues to support Walsh Racecraft. We’re learning, getting better, and getting faster every time we unload.
Until next time… 🏁

Well we took the BlackJacket (even though it’s a little blue) out for practice last Friday and the car was as stable as you could ask for!
I can’t begin to Thank our teammate enough, Austin Finley for all the setup work and guidance! Austin at Metal Masters also did a killer job on fabricating a good portion of the front end, and both Bumpers! I also want to Thank Mr. Doug Newton at Alabama Dent Repair for getting our frame pulled merely perfect and in time to make the next race! Of course would love to Thank our crew for all the behind the scenes hard work they’ve done:
* Gary Walsh
* Mr. Doug Emerson
* Keith Walsh
* Matt Cordle
* Nick Walsh
* Noah Dameron
* Emilie Walsh (Media)
Would also love to thank our Honorary Crew Member: Mr. Cole Bagwell for all he helps us with! Also Mr. Doug Emerson for always dedicating time to us even though him and Dakoda have a team of their own with the legends car! We got a great group here and they have been extremely anxious to get back on the track!
We also have some pretty exciting news towards the back half of the season and next year we will be transitioning Nick into being a spotter under the wing of Mr. Doug Emerson! That means that Keith will be the lead crewman and go to for many things in Pits like he already has been!
Last but not least I want to give a Special Thanks to our sponsors:
* Manning Swords at Swords Mobile Detail
* Kevin Wilcox And Adam Merrell at HM Prestige General Contracting
* Austin Finley at Metal Masters
* John Thomas and Cole Bagwell at John Thomas Race Engines
* Doug Newton at Alabama Dent Repair
* Will and Emilie Walsh at Walsh Enterprises
Thank you guys sincerely! Let’s go racing Saturday! 🏁
Unfortunately that beautiful Black and Yellow, Swords Mobile Detail, HM Prestige General Contractors, Metal Masters, and Johns Race Engines #4 Machine will be down another race for next week. We appreciate all of our sponsors, crew, and fans for sticking patient with us! Good luck to all our competitors.
In honor of not racing this weekend and getting a plethora of help, we at Walsh Racecraft would love to give some major thanks to some folks and great businesses!
First things first would love to Thank R & R speedshop for making sure we can get parts in promptly to help button this thing up! Kevin has been fantastic and they are some of the most sincere people! We also would love to Thank Mr. John Thomas and James Bagwell at Johns race Engines for absolutely continuing to put this new beautiful Race Engine together! We would also love to give Austin Finley at Metal Masters a huge shoutout for helping us getting this thing back to spec and all the fabrication work he is having to do! We love having a great teammate like him on our side!
Would also love to say a special thanks to the chiefs! Dad has absolutely held this program together without him there would be no Walsh Racecraft. Not only is he a great crew chief he pushes me to be a better person! Doug has been an absolute game changer and he doesn’t have to but he does!! Doug will get off work and come down to repair or spot no problem!
I also would like tell the crew to enjoy their weekend cause they damn sure deserve it!! Without yall nothing is possible!
We would also like to thank our sponsors for the continued support!!

We apologize to our fans, Walsh Racecraft will not make it to the race this weekend.
Sorry for the late post:
Just wanted to give a huge thank you to Mr. Doug Emerson and the Walsh Racecraft Crew! Doug, without you and there was no way we would have gotten that Racecar buttoned up after hitting the wall without you! Doug, dad, and the crew got that thing as close as possible after that good lick to the wall! Great job!! These guys also put in a ton of work before race day as well!

Thanks to Mr. John Thomas at Johns Race Engines and Mr. Cole Bagley, they were able to get our engine with some major Issues resolved a few weeks Prior! I know we are very excited about the new engine they are building us as well! Congrats to Mr. John Thomas on the well deserved win and Mr. Cole Bagwell on driving the wheels off your super stock!
We may have not necessarily got the result we wanted but after a day of Mishaps (and a slightly bent frame) we were able to finish the race. The car would gradually get looser coming off the corner this eventually would cause me to get very loose and get into Mr. John Campbell and lose the 3rd position (Sorry John, great driving and complete wreck avoidance). That itself was a win in our book that we were able to finish the race alongside all our competitors. Congrats to Mr. Taylor Graham on the win and Mr. Terry Ledbetter on the second place finish with a great race!
Probably the question most want answered - Why we smacked the wall:
When we installed these new racing pads (Some of the best you can get), we forgot to take all the Brake Bias out of the front brakes that we put in to compensate for wore down stock pads. When this happened, these brakes were so good that when we went into the first Corner at speed they locked up and we were headed straight into the wall and there was nothing that could be done at that point. Once we hit the wall the car had a “Pinball” effect and came down to hit the inner wall. Thankfully everyone was okay and everyone started the race.
