Saturday’s Whitney Day card at Saratoga Race Course generated $46,866,128 in wagering handle from all sources, the second-highest total in the event’s history.
The 14-race program was highlighted by Sovereignty’s victory in the $1 million Whitney (G1), with the handle trailing only the record $47.5 million wagered on last year’s Whitney Day.
