Sofia is the type of athlete who can step into just about ANY running event and instantly become one of the top competitors at any meet. 💨🔥

She is a hard worker, fierce competitor, and an incredible teammate — the kind of athlete every program hopes to have. Sofia has not only lived up to the expectations placed on her by outside spectators… she has absolutely EXCEEDED them.

From the very first meet of the season, Sofia established herself as one of the BEST athletes in the state by breaking 56 seconds in the 400m! 💪⚡

How lucky are we to have a girl like Mya CHOOSE Amarillo High her junior year… 💛🖤

I can’t imagine how difficult that decision was for her, but man are we GLAD she made it! I’ve told Mya countless times how thankful I am that she chose to come here and how much I’ve enjoyed getting to know her. Honestly, my only disappointment is that she didn’t come sooner — we would have loved to have had Mya all 4 years at AHS!

Mya is one of our fiercest competitors and the definition of TEAM FIRST. No matter the event, she’s willing to step up and compete wherever we need her. She is loved by her teammates, respected by everyone around her, and we are beyond proud to have her representing AHS Track & Field! 💪🔥

💪 Grit. Toughness. Hard worker. Coachable. Great teammate. Fierce competitor.

What makes Willow truly special is her ability to respond positively through every setback and challenge thrown her way. Her resilience and heart are second to none, and it shows every single time she steps on the track. ❤️

Willow is an athlete who leads by example and competes with passion every time she lines up. We are incredibly fortunate to have her returning next season!

Where do we even begin with Kinley? 💪
She can compete at an elite level in just about anything — from the 5K all the way down to the 400m. No matter the event, Kinley is always one of the top competitors at every meet. But what truly makes her special is her heart for her teammates. ❤️

Kinley embodies a TEAM FIRST mentality and will do whatever it takes to help this team succeed both on and off the track. Her leadership, selflessness, and determination have made a huge impact this season!

✨ One of the biggest surprises of the year came when she dropped an incredible SIX SECONDS off her 800m PR!
