🚩 Financial Abuse Series: Part 4 of 5
Your paycheck goes into the account.
But someone else changes the password.
Controls your allowance.
Questions every purchase.
And leaves you unable to buy groceries.
That isn’t shared budgeting.
It can be financial abuse.
If you’re locked out of online banking or concerned about activity in a joint account, contact the bank directly and ask for account records and options for securing access.
If it is safe to do so, consider speaking with your employer and a qualified financial or legal professional about protecting future income.
Your money should never be used to humiliate you or keep you trapped.

🚩 Financial Abuse Series: Part 3 of 5
Financial abuse isn’t always about taking your money.
Sometimes it starts with:
“I make enough for both of us.”
“You don’t need to work.”
“I’ll give you an allowance.”
What sounds supportive can slowly become a loss of independence.
Giving up your income may leave you without savings, financial choices, or the resources to leave if the relationship becomes unsafe.
Before stepping away from work, make sure you understand the financial arrangement, how money will be accessed, and whether you will still have emergency funds of your own.
Financial independence creates options.
And options matter.

If a narcissist said:
"You Will never find anyone like me" How would you answer?

Your narcissist isn't just hurting you directly.
They're making sure nobody else can help you either. 🚨
They turn your friends against you.
They make your family pull away.
They make you feel so ashamed you stop reaching out yourself.
Until one day you look around and realize — you have nobody left.
That's not an accident. That's narcissistic isolation. And it's one of the most dangerous tactics abusers use to keep you trapped.
In our new episode we're breaking down exactly how it works — and how to get your people back. 💜
💬 Drop a 💜 if you've ever felt completely alone while in a relationship.

Is the Narcissist evil or mentally ill?
🚩 Financial Abuse Series: Part 2 of 5
Financial abuse isn’t always about spending your money.
Sometimes it’s about hiding it.
A secret bank account.
Hidden income.
Assets you never knew existed.
These are common tactics that can leave survivors without their fair share during a divorce.
If you discover an account you didn’t know about, don’t ignore it.
Write down what you can safely document — the bank name, account number, date, and balance — before discussing it directly or taking action.
The more information you have, the easier it may be for your attorney to help protect your financial future.

🚩 Financial Abuse Series: Part 1 of 5
Financial abuse doesn’t always look obvious.
Sometimes it looks like new furniture showing up in your home.
A purchase you never agreed to.
Or discovering — years later — that someone opened a credit account in your name.
This isn’t just financial dishonesty.
It can be identity theft.
One of the smartest steps you can take is to regularly check your credit report and freeze your credit with all three credit bureaus to help prevent fraudulent accounts from being opened in your name.
Knowledge is one of your greatest forms of protection.
