At AAF District 5 Leadership Conference in Columbus, AAF-Akron President-elect Kaylie Yaceczko accepted the D5 Club of the Year Award.

This award is given by the D5 board to the club that demonstrated involvement in several ways: attending monthly club leadership meetings, attending National's PIE (President Idea Exchange) meetings, sharing social media posts, participating in Ovation Awards, and registering for and attending ADMERICA (AAF's national conference). On a points scale, the club that participated in the most is awarded Club of the Year by the D5 board.

We joined chapter roundtables, shared ideas, celebrated District 5 award winners, and connected with passionate AAF leaders from across the region. We also enjoyed an ADMERICA recap from our very own Kaylie.

Special thanks to for hosting and to the board for putting together a great conference. We're feeling inspired and excited to kick off the new term!

Congrats to our Board Chair Brianna Kelly! She more than earned the Above & Beyond Award at the District 5 Leadership Conference in Columbus on June 13.

Brianna’s super power is that she cares deeply. Her care results in her always giving more than 110% to all that she does. She goes above and beyond every day. AAF-Akron would not be where we are today without her guidance and the many initiatives (mentorship, annual meeting, new membership CRM, building relationships with everyone, bootcamp for board members, to name just a few things) that she has implemented during her various leadership roles since 2018. We need to name a building after her!
