Oh dear, God fasten Akii Bua Stadium construction 🙏🙏🙏Fans let's rally behind our mighty club and support the team massively

Dear Blacks Power FC Fans,

It is with sadness that we share an update from the FUFA Licensing Department regarding our home ground, Ebenezer University – Lira Ground.

FUFA has implemented strict stadium standards, and unfortunately, Ebenezer University Ground is currently classified under Category Two, while UPL matches must be hosted at facilities falling under the International or Category One standards.

As a result, FUFA has directed the club to seek clearance from the National Council of Sports (NCS) to use Hoima City Stadium as our temporary home venue for the first round of the 2026/27 UPL season. This will allow us to continue working on the outstanding requirements at Ebenezer University Ground as we pursue our return to Lira. We are also hopeful for the completion of Akii Bua Olympic Stadium, which is expected soon.

We are currently working swiftly to secure the necessary NCS clearance so that we can begin the season as scheduled. According to the released fixtures, we are set to host Ntugasaze FC on Saturday, 29 August, in our season opener, before welcoming Police FC on 2 September.

This development comes with a significant financial burden for the club management, particularly with the additional costs associated with playing our home matches away from Lira. We therefore kindly appeal to our fans, supporters and partners for your emotional, moral and financial support during this challenging period.

We respect FUFA's decision as the regulatory body and shall fully comply with the requirements as we work towards bringing our home games back to The Forest.

Our mission remains clear: STAYING IN THE LEAGUE. And with your unwavering support, we believe we shall achieve it.

The team is preparing well for the season opener, and we are excited to unveil our new signings soon.
