The Busoga Oldies League 2026/27 witnessed one of its biggest results of the season as Mbiko VC stunned the defending champions, Busoga Legends SC, with a hard-fought 2–1 victory, handing the Legends their first home defeat of the campaign.

‎ *ERFA Makes CAF C Licence Mandatory for 3rd Division League Head Coaches*
‎
‎The Eastern Region Football Associations (ERFA) has made a CAF C Licence the minimum coaching qualification for all head coaches in the 2026/27 3rd Division League. The requirement is part of the region's club licensing circular issued by new General Secretary (CEO) Samuel Turyomuriwe.

‎ERFA also demands assistant coaches possess at least a CAF D Licence, while goalkeeping coaches and team doctors must hold recognized professional qualifications in their respective positions.

‎Additionally, clubs must register a minimum of 15 players on FUFA Connect, submit a season budget and source of funds, identify a home ground, provide valid club statutes, and complete all mandatory licensing forms.
‎
‎ERFA says the measures are intended to improve professionalism and raise football standards across the region. Clubs have until September 15, 2026, to submit all required documents.
