CÔTE D'IVOIRE CALLING: SALIMAT/KAHINDE'S DUEL ESCALATES TO UGANDA VS NIGERIA

WHAT initially appeared to be a routine boxing match between two beauty queens, Salimat Tibesigwa from Uganda and Nigerian Kahinde Olamiposi Solomon, has now escalated into a significant event involving both nations, which, despite being located in different regions of Africa, share a common linguistic heritage as Anglophone countries.

Uganda, often referred to as the Pearl of Africa, is situated in East Africa, while Nigeria is located on the opposite side in West Africa. Both nations have a shared historical context as former British colonies.

Historically, both countries boasted powerful African kingdoms; the Buganda Kingdom governed Uganda before and during the colonial era, while Nigeria's Kingdom of Onugu is recognized as the most formidable among the various kingdoms in the country.
