Sarah Ansboury started playing pickleball back in November of 2014, and instantly fell in love with the sport. Thanks to her background in tennis, the transition seemed seamless but definitely not without putting in the effort. Heading home today after a great trip! We launched the level B courses with the Chinese Tennis Association and had a junior training camp with three different countries represented.
With so much focus on making money in this business, itās been amazing to focus on simply the growth of the game and the development of coaches and players.
Quality coach development starts with good intention and good people.

Excited to be back in China! šØš³
This week weāre working with the CTA on a coaches course and junior campācontinuing to grow the game through better education and development.
The last few months, Iāve been quietly working on some projects that Iām really excited to share soon.
After being around pickleball for a long time, one thing Iāve learned is that who we put in positions to lead matters. Good people. Good intentions. People willing to put the growth of the sport ahead of personal agendas.
Iām excited about whatās coming and the people I get to build it with.
And I couldnāt do any of it without my wife. ā¤ļø Every time I say Iām going to work less, I somehow add another project šāand she continues to support me every step of the way.
Grateful for her. Grateful for the opportunities. And excited for whatās next. šš
Every year we have better and better tournament locations. To see where we started to where we are now is truly incredible. A few years back we were trying to get pickleball here and they were not ready yet. Here we are! The Beer City Open PB is one of my all time favorite events. Itās been around for 9 years and before tours were how they are now, we would find our way to Beer City. The facility keeps growing, the fans and much more. Itās one of the events that has the memories many of us love. Grand Rapids has some of the best pickleball out there. The people make this tournament what it is.
They have 600 volunteers for this! Working year round to make this event better and better. Very happy to see what Andrea Remynse Koop Paul Richards and their team have done over the years. I feel lucky to be a part of some of the origins here.
MLP Major League Pickleball teaming up with Beer City for this Mid Season tourney has been epic!
I had a blast from some of the best seats in the house. Loved seeing some familiar faces.
Mind you I found myself saying āI meanā way too much in the broadcast š so that will be fixed for my next stop in Chicago šØ
If you find yourself in Grand Rapids a must stop is Belknap Park for some great pickleball.
