Fast forward to past weekend: he’s just made 𝟮𝟯𝟯 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 for the West Indies. 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘆. Double century. Record 401 partnership. 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

He wasn’t just giving a pep talk. He was 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. That’s why we built this place. Not for hype, for work!

A hard-fought victory built on discipline, resilience, belief and a complete team effort throughout the entire season. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭, and this title was earned through consistency and hunger from start to finish.

Credit must also go to the Guyana Harpy Eagles for another outstanding campaign and for setting the standard in regional cricket over the last three years as defending champions. It took a determined and hungry Trinidad & Tobago team to finally dethrone them.

From the final wicket to the celebrations after, this is a moment Trinidad & Tobago cricket fans will remember for a very long time ❤️🖤
