My ticket to Led Intermediate: I still have it today 🥰
Taking a photo in the huge hall. I was trying to smile while so terrified of the Kapotasana that was coming
A portion of our Led Intermediate Class with Sharathji. Can you find me? I made it by listening to the sound of his voice 💗
I was so shy to take a photo with Guruji but now I am so grateful I did.
After this workshop I knew I would go to Mysore. I was determined 💪🏼❤️🔥
And this was my reward for surviving Kapotasana 🍦

2️⃣ Lift one knee to your chest, five breaths, then switch sides
3️⃣ Bring both knees in to the tuck position, stay and breathe

5️⃣ Advanced variation: walk in, hips forward, legs extend up straight
6️⃣ Come down slowly, rest in child’s pose

Real audio and real practice 💪🏼❤️🔥
Working with Yoga, Handstand & Mobility | BANGKOK on drills to balance my body has been a gamer changer for me in my Ashtanga Yoga practice. Before I met John my tic toc was all over the place and toc was nowhere to be found. After consistently working on the drills John gave me, simple work with resistance bands or releasing overused muscles, my body began the change. As a person I’m a very slow learner. I can only learn by repeating something many times. Also if there is something I cannot do, I need to slow down and study the topic in depth to be able to gain more understanding.
I really appreciate John for always sharing with me. We are so lucky to have you teaching at The Yoga Shala 🥰🥰
(The stability I learned in these drills have been a huge power source for the arm balances in third series)

Happy one year anniversary The Yoga Shala 💗💗
A year goes by quickly when you’re working hard. And this year I learned what it meant to give my everything to something. Building the foundation of this Shala took everything I have both physically and mentally. I am a perfectionist and am quite hard on myself for not being as successful as I wish I could be. But what I saw yesterday was the one most important thing I did succeed in: Making a yoga home and building a community in Thonglor.
The Shala has a become home to so many people and I am proud that it has become the safe space for so many 🥹🥹 yesterday I reflected on the fact that I have met so many people this year and we have made so many new friends because of our Shala. These are not surface level relationships but rather relationships based on mutual understanding, support, and respect.
I feel grateful from the bottom of my heart to each student who continues to show up to practice and bring positive energy to our space. You make our dream into a reality. I am so grateful to everyone who has come to support me this year. Building this business has, and still is, very difficult. But every time I feel like giving up someone comes along with kindness and reminds me of why I continue to do what I do. Thank you to students, partners, family and friends. No matter how strong we are, we cannot do anything alone. Our community is strong and thank you for believing in my dream of The Yoga Shala Bangkok 🙏🏼💗
I need to say a special thank you to 𝕊𝔸𝕀ℕ𝔸𝕄💧 who has a fighters heart like me. No matter what you always find a way to overcome every obstacle for our Shala 💪🏼❤️🔥

Kapotasana: Step by Step 🥰
This was not an easy asana for me. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into finding a safe and comfortable way to build stability here. Working through each of these steps, and committing to finding depth in every piece of the puzzle, is how I finally found Kapo.
Swipe through for the breakdown:
1️⃣ Push into the ground, find strong legs, bring your hips forward, open your chest
2️⃣ Hips forward, find a long back
3️⃣ Hands inside, like you’re reaching to scratch your back
4️⃣ Find a stable Kapotasana B on the floor
5️⃣ Keep your legs strong, walk your hands in to catch your feet or heels
6️⃣ Advanced variation: Catching from the air, no walking on the floor
With this asana every step is its own practice. Where are you in the journey? 👇
