🚨 OFFICIAL APPROVAL AND DELEGATION OF MANDATE (TONJ ZONAL LEAGUE) – TONJ TOWN

The Tonj South Football Association (TSFA) is excited to announce the official approval and delegation of authority to the following committee, tasked with organizing and running the Tonj Zonal League in Tonj Town. This league will take place over the next two weeks, leading up to the much-anticipated South Sudan Cup:

1. Mr. Marko Maguek — Chairperson
2. Mr. Philip Dut — Head of Technical Committee
3. Mr. Peter Akot Athian — Secretary General
4. Mr. Aweng Maduot — Finance Secretary
5. Mr. Deng Marial Mel— Information Secretary

Committee Mandate:

√ This committee is entrusted with the coordination and management of the league, which includes overseeing fixtures, match venues, team participation, match officials, discipline, communication, and overall administration. They are committed to ensuring fair play, transparency, accountability, and adherence to TSFA rules and regulations.

√ The committee will collaborate closely with the Office of the Secretary General and the TSFA leadership. For any significant disciplinary, technical, or administrative issues that exceed their authority, they will refer these matters to the appropriate TSFA bodies.

We therefore, encourage all participating teams, players, officials, referees, supporters, and stakeholders to show respect and cooperation with the committee to ensure the smooth running of this competition.

𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚 | 𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — The Executive Committee held its extraordinarily meeting No. 003 (2026) to deliberate on several key agendas, resolving the following:

1. Al-Hilal Wau Issue

The Federation will officially write to the Al-Hilal Wau General Assembly instructing them to convene and address issues regarding the massive resignation of their board. A steering committee must be formed within seven days to provide feedback to the Federation.

2. Amarat FC - Melut Appeal

Regarding the issue of Amarat FC - Melut, the Executive Committee upheld and retained the decision reached by the Board of Directors Melut FA, pursuant to Article 100(a) of the General Regulations of the South Sudan Football Federation.

3. Regulations and Appointments Approved
Admission Regulations: Regulations for the admission of new SSFF Members (2026) approved.

Safeguarding Policy: Safeguarding Policy for Boys and Girls (2026) approved.

Club Licensing: Club licensing regulations for both men’s and women’s clubs as well as national teams approved.

Safeguarding Champion: Mr. Mujahid Ali appointed as the Safeguarding Champion for the South Sudan Football Federation.

4. Under-15 World Cup Festival
Participation of the South Sudan Boys U-15 team in the FIFA U-15 World Cup Festival 2026 approved.

5. Club Coaches Fee Structure

Approved the fee structure for the registration of club coaches across all divisions and local FAs.

6. National Team Coaching Appointments

8. Player Transfer & ITC Exemption

South Sudan Women’s Premier League players registered during the main transfer window who have not completed their International Transfer Certificate (ITC) process are exempted from disqualification, subject to completing the process during the complementary registration period in December 2026.

The President of Bhar El Ghazal Counties Tournament, Majok Ayiai, has announced that the BCT 3rd Edition will be hosted in Tonj Town next year.

The announcement was made yesterday at Munuki Playground during the TOSCOT final awards.

The President of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), Mr. Francis Amin Michael, met with MTN South Sudan CEO Ms. Mapula Bodibe for constructive discussions on the challenges facing football in South Sudan.

The meeting included a brief evaluation of the sponsorship challenges faced during the past season and outlined the way forward. Both parties commended each other for their good collaboration in uplifting football in South Sudan, while MTN pledged to address the challenges within the means available to it.

President Francis Amin Michael thanked MTN for its continued support and expressed hope for the continuation of the partnership. The two sides also set up teams to finalize preparations for the opening game of the 2026–2027 season.

The engagement highlighted the importance of collaboration, partnership, and a shared commitment to creating greater opportunities for footballers, nurturing local talent, and strengthening the future of the beautiful game in South Sudan.
