The final standings of the South Sudan Premier League for the 2025/2026 season have been updated following the Appeals Committee’s decision to accept Bentiu City’s appeal against Kator and award Bentiu City a 2-0 victory in Match No. 08.

The South Sudan Football Federation has announced the opening of the main transfer and registration window for Premier League players whose contracts have expired.

The window allows clubs to complete player registrations and transfers ahead of the new season, in line with the federation’s regulations.

The South Sudan Premier League stands as the highest level of football in the country, bringing together 14 teams in a tough round-robin competition.

Clubs from across South Sudan will compete fiercely for the championship, while fans look forward to an exciting season filled with passion, rivalry, and memorable moments.

The South Sudan Football Federation has announced the opening of the main transfer window for player registration and transfers for the 2026–2027 season.

The registration office at the SSFF headquarters will operate from Monday to Friday in the morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and in the evening from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. On weekends, office hours will be from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

JUBA — The curtain fell on an exhilarating second season of the South Sudan Premier League on Sunday, May 17, culminating in a grand season-closing ceremony and awards presentation that celebrated the nation's finest footballing talent.

After months of fierce competition, the league’s top performers were officially honored by the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), with Jamus FC and El-Merriekh Bentiu dominating the prestigious individual accolades.

Jamus FC Dominates the Attack
Jamus FC proved to be the league's offensive powerhouse this season, walking away with the two biggest individual player awards:
• Player of the Season: Sampi Ousimane was crowned the league's ultimate MVP after a spectacular campaign that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

• Top Scorer: George Rodriguez took home the Golden Boot, netting an incredible 23 goals over the course of the season to cement his reputation as the league's most lethal finisher.

El-Merriekh Bentiu Rules the Defense
While Jamus FC dominated the scoreboard, El-Merriekh FC-Bentiu was recognized for its tactical brilliance and defensive steel:

• Goalkeeper of the Season: Daniel Magot earned the golden glove for his heroic displays between the posts, serving as an impenetrable wall for his side.

• Coach of the Season: Mastermind Ibrahim Hussein was named the league's best manager, recognized for his tactical acumen and leadership in guiding El-Merriekh Bentiu through a phenomenal campaign.

Integrity and Legacy Honored
Beyond the goals and tactical masterclasses, the SSFF took time to honor sportsmanship and lifelong dedication to the game.

Lion Hunters FC Yei was awarded the Fair Play Award, recognized for their exemplary discipline, professionalism, and adherence to the spirit of the game throughout the grueling season.

In the night's most sentimental moment, George Francis of Al Ghazala Wau was presented with a Special Recognition Award by the Federation. The honor celebrates Francis's profound, long-standing sporting contributions to South Sudanese football, earning him a standing ovation from peers and fans alike.

"This season has shown the immense growth and potential of football in South Sudan," noted federation officials during the closing remarks.

With the trophies handed out and the second season officially in the history books, clubs now look ahead to the transfer window and the promise of an even bigger third season.
