Gogrial East Peace Tournament First Edition 2026 - Juba (GEPT) was established as First of it's kind in Juba though Apuk-Lith has had tournaments and leagues that were organized but under different authorities/managements from 2019-2025.

The Body of GEPT 1st Edition 2026 are as follows;
1: President of GEPT.
2: Board of Directors of GEPT.
3: Disciplinary Committee of GEPT.
4: Organizing Committee of GEPT.
5: Technical Committee of GEPT.

Following the progress made by Apuk-Lith Team president Deng Awar to let the senior team succeed on upcoming tournaments, he established GEPT which aimed at keeping players fit and ready for the upcoming tournaments like WSPT and BCPT. He declared the scheduled tournament starting date which was on 25th May 2026 as Toch West and Nyang Payam opened it ending 1 all draw at Jamus playground.

Following the progress from the group stage matches which were played home/away and semi finals, Toch West which finished Second in group A and Toch North which finished First in group B faced each other in which Toch West emerged victorious 7:6 on penalties after drawing 1 all during 90 minutes.

These Semi final match between Toch North vs Toch West was played on 30th May 2026.

After Toch North lost the game, they (Toch North) then filed a complaint letter against Toch West on 31st May 2026 with the following evidences seeing Kur Kur Bona written as Alier Dhieu Garang on;
1: Facebook.
2: Tiktok.
3: Baidit Payam uniforms while playing.
4: Baidit Payam Captain along with him in the photo while playing.

After the committee recieved the complain letter attached with the above mentioned evidences, they started with the investigations.

Day 1 of case proceeding involving Toch North and Toch West: the committee started with investigations on their first sitting as on 1st June 2026 and the outcome of the investigation was that Toch West affirmed the player in question named as Kur Kur Bona jersey 24 instead of Alier Dhieu Garang as their player, the committee therefore asked for valid documents and the presence of the player in question along with the father for clarity on the next session.

Day 2 of case proceeding involving Toch North and Toch West commenced on 2nd June 2026 where the committee waited in the venue to receive any evidence from Toch West but Toch West representatives failed to show up in the meeting.

Day 3 of the case proceedings involving Toch North and Toch West commenced on 4rd of June 2026 where Toch North representatives and Toch West representatives came and there was no evidence brought for the second time.
Upon them failing to present any valid identification, the representatives from Toch West asked the committee to talk on phone with Kur Bona which indeed happened when Kurdit called and attested that Kur Kur Bona is his biological son.

Day 4 of the case proceedings involving Toch North and Toch West commenced on 7th June 2026 where the committee passed judgment and declared Toch North as the winners but on that very day, Toch West brought a birth certificate from Wau. The committee therefore canceled the ruling that saw Toch North winners since Toch West failed to bring any evidence after series of days waiting for evidences. Toch West on that day brought birth certificate and the committee therefore received and asked both parties to return home and bring more documents for clarity since both evidences collided with facts that needed extra documents for clarification. Toch West were informed to come along with a player in question, parents or Nationality whereas Toch North were asked to come with an extra evidence since they declined the evidence brought by Toch West.

Day 5 of the case proceedings involving Toch North and Toch West commenced on 9th June 2026 where Toch North brought a birth certificate and Toch West failed to bring the child and parents who were asked by committee.

The committee therefore verified both certificates and declared them as forged certificates because a lot of things on them (certificates) were forged and invalid (both for Toch North and Toch West).

Day 6 of the case proceedings involving Toch North and Toch West brought the committee together and applied logic to finalize the case hence declaring Toch North as the case winners since Toch West failed to present valid identifications, the committee used the initial evidences presented to solve the case and therefore left the appeal case opened if and only if valid documents like Nationality or passport, player himself and parents are brought to the committee for further investigations, the declaration was on 10th June 2026.

Upon the declaration on 10th June 2026, Toch West filed an appeal rejecting the declaration made by the committee on the same note on 13th June 2026.

The committee reviewed the appeal and nulled the appeal because the documents that were asked weren't attached for clarification.

After Toch West recieved that letter, they then filed a general appeal to the Board and summoned the committee in the office of Board of Directors (BODs). The Board therefore called for the meeting to investigate the matter. The committee and Toch West were investigated and bellow were the resolutions made by the Board ;

1: A rematch between Toch North vs Toch West.
2: Fine to both teams since they fielded ineligible players because Toch West also complained of Chan Wol jersey 41 of Toch North in their general appeal directed to the BODs.
3: Disqualification of both Alier Dhieu Garang and Chan Wol from the tournament as the rematch stand.

After the resolutions, both teams refused to rematch on that very day and as days went by, Toch North changed their minds and accepted the rematch whereas Toch West refused to rematch and kept on waiting for the final.

As per the stand, Toch North Football Team (Abuok Maroldit) withdrew from the tournament yesterday on 22nd June 2026 quoting that they took the decision to withdraw from the tournament for peace to reign and prevail since Toch West refused to rematch.

Below is the withdrawal letter written by Toch North (Abuok Maroldit Football Team) following the case that has been existing between them and Toch West Football Team.

The withdrawal came after series of meetings starting from when the organizing committee was in charge of the proceedings till the board took over.

The Management for Abuok-Maroldit Sports Federation (AMSF) do hereby present its withdrawal from Gogrial East peace tournament because successfulness of every activity is through guidelines provided which were shared by the tournament body.

We abide by the rules but caused us hatred as a community at large. So far we accepted both rulings from tournament committees and Board of Directors-BODs to enhance the intended peace.

However, our sisterly community failed to comply with the above stated rulings (disqualified and rematch) but prefer violence, then the case is none other than set football rules and the tournament target missions.

As sisterly communities without any historical issues, we all wish you well in your final match.

Talking Points in Gogrial East Peace Tournament (GEPT) First Edition 2026 - Juba from group stage to semi finals;

1: Toch North (Abuok Maroldit ) who drew with Toch West and later lost on penalties filed a complaint letter against Toch West and won the case to book their place in the final hence remain unbeaten..

2: The case involving Toch North and Toch West was proceeded for 5 seatings before the final resolution was passed making it a long discussed case ever since GEPT was initiated.

3: Anei Aruop (Toch East goalkeeper) heads to the final being the goalkeeper with most clean sheets (3 clean sheets), 3 goals conceded, 1 MOTM award earned.

4: Guem Gakrial who was banned for some games due to assault along with his fellow goalkeeper Awer Akuectoch kept one clean sheet each with Guem having conceded 1 goal while Awer conceded 2 goals whereas the semi final scoreline remains null.

5: Toch North heads to final as the team with most goals scored in the tournament (6 goals).

6: Toch East scored only 3 goals and these 3 goals were enough to send them to the finals.

7: Tong Manyuat's remains the only player to register 2 assists from a corner against Pathuon East in a single game hence making him the player with most assists in the tournament.

8: Toch West goalkeeper (Kur Kur/Alier Dhieu Garang) who was later disqualified for being ineligible and Toch East goalkeeper (Anei Aruop) were the only goalkeepers to would have won MOTM awards, and as per the resolutions, Anei Aruop remains the only keeper with MOTM award standing.

9: Toch North (Abuok Maroldit) were the first team in GEPT tournament to register a win with a clean sheet after their 2 nil win over Pathuon East in their opening game in the group stage.

On the other hand,
Toch North team captain who also captains Apuk-Lith Senior team also became the first player to register 2 assists into his name in a single game in GEPT against Pathuon East.

10: Aleu Konggor of Pathuon East was the first player to score a brace in a single match against Toch North as Giir Mathuc of Nyang Payam became the second player to also score a brace in a single game against Pathuon West during the group stage matches.

11: Madut Adhiikdit is the first player in GEPT to win back to back MOTM awards in the tournament and remains the only player to win MOTM twice in the tournament during the last 2 group stage games for Toch East.

12: Toch West 🆚️ Nyang Payam was the only match that ended without a card (yellow/red) throughout 90 mins where Toch West emerged victorious over Nyang by 2 goals to nil.

13: The Unbeaten ran of Nyang Payam was ended by Toch West in the group stage whereas Toch West were winless in their previous games before facing Nyang Payam.

14: Toch North headed to the semi final without losing a game, they later drew with Toch West to keep their record and later lost on penalties however, they filed a complaint against Toch West for fielding ineligible player to win the case, hence remains the only unbeaten team in GEPT.

15: Pathuon West exited the group stage (Group A) with 4 points, 1 draw, 1 win and all these points were taken against Toch West and the lost to Nyang Payam H/A.

16: Pathuon East exited the group stage (GroupB) with 2 points, 1 draw against Toch North and 1 draw against Toch East as they lost to both Toch North and Toch East on the other games.

17: Nyang Payam won against Pathuon West home and away and remains the only team to do that in GEPT history during the group stage.

18: The 6 teams (defunct payams) scored 23 goals with 17 goals assisted as other came through penalties and set piece tap in through out the 13 games in the group stage prior to the match in question.

i: 7 goals came from corner kicks (headers)
ii: 2 penalties.
iii: 14 goals from open play

19: Toch East broke the unbeaten run 🆚️ Pathuon East beating them by a goal to nil, a record that stood since 2012 during their group stage game.

The dates remains unclear but the committee are working on it to confirm the exact dates hence urguing the teams to continue preparing for the semi finals and finals intensively.

The Committee's resolution after thorough investigations for 5 seatings involving the case between Toch North Football Team and Toch West Football Team.

Prior to the previous finalists, Toch North emerged victorious over the case that they filed against Toch West for fielding a player whose Toch North refers to as from Bor County, Baidit Payam in particular, the committee in charge of GEPT 1st Edition 2026 - Juba has disqualified Toch West and allowed Toch North to progress to the finals though an appeal within 24 hours will be received by the office if and only if they provide the required evidences within the stipulated timeframe.

Toch North therefore play final with Toch East whereas Toch West plays Nyang Payam for 3rd place playoff.
