Jur River County Inter-Payams Peace Tournament Set for July 2026

The Organizing Committee of the Jur River County Inter-Payams Peace Tournament wishes to inform the public that an executive meeting was successfully held today date 13th June 2026 to preparations for the upcoming tournament.

During the meeting, members unanimously resolved that the tournament will be conducted in July 2026. The committee therefore calls upon all the eight Payams of Jur River County that were constituted during the defunct 32 States arrangement of South Sudan to begin their preparations and mobilize their respective teams.
The tournament is intended to prepare the squad of Jur River County FC for upcoming Bahr El Ghazal Counties’ Peace Tournament ( ) and to promote peace, unity, reconciliation, and cooperation among the people of Jur River County through sports and youth engagement.

Furthermore, the committee announces that a general meeting involving representatives from all the eight Payams will be convened soon. Details regarding the date, venue, and time of the meeting will be communicated in due course.

The Organizing Committee urges all members of Jur River County, community leaders, youth representatives, and sports enthusiasts to support this important initiative and contribute to its success.

Almost every County/State is easily organising its inter payams or inter counties Peace Tournament but WBGS or none of the counties of WBGS has ever organised a Peace Tournament....... Lets discuss today why its not happening??
