Sierra Leonean Starlet Osman Kamara Makes Impactful Crawley Town Debut

Sierra Leonean starlet Osman Kamara enjoyed a memorable debut for Crawley Town, helping his loan side secure a 2-0 victory over York City in the Carabao Cup.

On loan from Blackburn Rovers U21s, the highly rated youngster provided an instant spark off the bench for The Red Devils as they advanced to the next round, delivering an encouraging performance in his first senior appearance.

Nigeria Premier Football League giants Katsina United FC have officially unveiled Sierra Leonean goalkeeper Francis Koroma, popularly known as "Tortoise," following his transfer from Wilberforce Strikers FC.

The Leone Stars shot-stopper has signed a two-year contract with the Nigerian top-flight club and will be part of Katsina United's squad for the 2026/27 season.

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐢 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚, today inspected the ongoing installation of seats at the 𝟒𝟑𝟓-𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 pavilion at the 𝐒𝐋𝐅𝐀 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞, a landmark infrastructure project personally donated by the SLFA President.

During the inspection, President Kamara was taken through the latest phase of work, where the installation of seats is progressing rapidly. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work and the steady pace of implementation, while encouraging those overseeing the project to maintain the required standards and ensure its timely completion.

The 435-seater pavilion, valued at over 𝐔𝐒$𝟐𝟓𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎, is one of President Kamara’s personal contributions to the development of football infrastructure in Sierra Leone. Another being the $𝟗𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐦 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐢. Once completed, it will significantly enhance the Technical Centre by providing modern seating accommodation for spectators, players, officials, and guests during matches, training sessions, and football development programmes.

President Kamara reiterated his unwavering commitment to improving football infrastructure across the country, noting that investments in quality facilities are essential to creating an enabling environment for the growth and success of Sierra Leone football.
