Their selection is a testament to the quality, commitment and hard work they have shown throughout the season, and reflects the continued growth of our Women's team.

Our boys reported for duty today as preparations officially got underway for the new season. A positive first session filled with familiar faces returning, new connections being built and the squad beginning to settle into life together as one team.

The energy is high, the squad is shaping up strongly, and the focus now shifts towards our upcoming overseas pre-season camp.

Over the weekend, our local players proudly took part in the Sweat It Forward campaign in partnership with the Singapore Cancer Society and James Pang Organisation 🦅💚

Sweat It Forward is a community fundraising initiative held in support of the Singapore Cancer Society, where all proceeds raised go directly towards the Society’s continued efforts in supporting cancer patients and their families.

For every $10 donated, participants committed to completing 100 metres, with the collective target of clocking 1,000 kilometres through rowing, skiing and biking stations throughout the day.

A meaningful day of pushing limits, giving back and standing together for a greater cause beyond football.

Back in green 🦅💚

After first joining the club in 2020 before the season was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dylan Pereira now returns to Geylang International FC as the latest addition to our goalkeeping department.

The Singaporean goalkeeper brings with him valuable experience from the Singapore Premier League, along with spells at Young Lions and Albirex Niigata (S).

Now, a new chapter begins as Dylan finally gets the opportunity to continue the journey in green once again.

We caught up with our Women’s Team Head Coach, Ratna Suffian, as he reflected on the highs, challenges and growth of the team following the conclusion of the Women’s Premier League season. 🦅💚

From the fighting spirit shown throughout the campaign to the emergence of exciting young talents, hear his thoughts as the ladies wrap up another memorable season in green.

“Every season since I took over, fighting spirit in the team was one of the main reason we keep pushing throughout the season. The senior players set the tone and the younger players follow suit. They are proud to wear Geylang colors and make it known that it is not something given but earned. As a coach, I can only be proud and thankful that the players set the standard for themselves.

I think this year we started slow in the beginning of the season. The loss of our top scorer last season and key players also affect the momentum. Players took a bit of time to get into gears and that may have been the biggest challenge we have this season.

Younger players in the team taking their spot was also another highlight. We have many young players that showed a lot of potential like Lily(16) is a delight in the middle, Olliana(16) despite her earlier setbacks always worked hard on the flanks. Naureen(17) is a natural striker and definitely one for the future for our National Womens Team. Rayna(17) and Imarsya(17) currently part of the National U19 squad can stand on their own whenever called upon to play. Yanis(19) safe hands goes without saying. Elly and Thim (20 and 21) are already the seniors and starting most of the time. These are the future of GIFC Womens Team.

Definitely another season of gutsy performance everytime the girls step into the team and an improved overall play in attack and defence.

A huge thank you especially to the Management Committee that have place their trust in us to carry this responsibility. Also to the fans, parents, friends who made their time to come down and support the team throughout the season.”
