Singapore Sports Award 2026 🇸🇬

I am humbled and honoured to be receiving this year's Meritorious Athlete Award. It was pleasant surprise to be honest, as I didn't even know that my name was put up for nomination 😅😂.

But I guess this just goes to show how much my team and the federation has believed in me and recognised how hard I have worked and have given to this sport.

I'd like to express my gratitude to KFS for believing in me and I will continue work hard and do my best.

I have dedicated almost 20 years of my life into combat sports, 5 in kickboxing. To receive this recognition for my work in this sport, I am humbled and truly grateful.

I have achieved so much as an athlete, and I always tell myself that I want to give back what I have been given and more. However, I am only just one person. I am glad that I have the team at KFS who supports my work and is guiding me. I still have a long way to go, and I am not done yet. We will see how far we can go.

Staying pretty low-key lately, but I have been main questing really hard behind the scenes. From training my athletes to organising my first ever tournament.

It was quite a steep learning curve for me, so I am grateful that I have a team to guide me and help me with the heavy lifting. If it weren't for them, I would be lost and won't have the capacity to juggle everything.

As for my athletes, I'm proud to see their growth and progress in this tournament. Regardless of the outcome, each and every one of them performed as well as I hope. I am also proud of how they carried themselves on and off the arena.

All in all, I am happy with how everything turned out. Looking forward to the next one. But for now, time to focus on quest.
