How do you design public spaces that people actually use — and care about?
Last year, we worked with West Coast Town Council to reimagine neighbourhood spaces in Jurong West (Nanyang Division), across three NRP zones.
We didn’t start with solutions.
We started on the ground.
From void decks to town squares, we engaged residents where they already are — gathering real, lived insights through conversations, focus groups, and simple but powerful tools.
Clear priorities emerged:
🔗 Better connectivity and safer movement
🌿 Cleaner, more comfortable environments
🏙️ Stronger neighbourhood identity
We translated these into practical design strategies — improving pathways, upgrading amenities, and shaping more community-centric spaces.
But beyond the interventions, the real impact is this:
When residents are part of the process,
they don’t just use the space — they take ownership of it.
At Rhindon, we don’t just run engagement.
We translate lived experiences into spatial strategies that agencies can act on — bridging community insight with real, implementable outcomes.

Engaging the youth is crucial for societal progress. We tap into fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and boundless energy by involving young individuals. Empowering youth to actively participate in conversations fosters leadership skills and a sense of ownership and creates opportunities for transformative change. Their engagement holds the potential for impactful outcomes that shape a brighter and more inclusive future.

In our previous discussions, we explored various subjects such as user-centric transformative design, the value of engaging in meaningful stakeholder conversations, and the benefits of embracing diversity. Now, let's delve into the practical aspects and outcomes of the stakeholder engagement process.
Based on our extensive project experience, we have developed a five-step roadmap for successful partnerships. It's important to note that building alignment and establishing partnerships require determination and strategic planning. However, carefully charting the right course can minimize risks and greatly increase the chances of achieving successful outcomes.
