We’re happy to welcome URSPRING BASKETBALL ACADEMY 🇩🇪, Fryshuset Basket and for a weekend of high-level basketball, competition, and preparation for the season ahead. 🔥

From September 3–6, eight top U18 women’s teams from around the world will come together to compete, connect, and showcase the future of women’s basketball. 💫

EuroBasket season rolls on! 🏀🏆

Wrapping up the EuroBasket summer, Sweden’s U16 Women’s National Team is heading to Piešťany 🇸🇰 for the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division B, tipping off on August 11.

The group stage starts with a game against Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 (11/8), followed by a matchup against hosts Slovakia 🇸🇰 (12/8).

We’re happy to support RIG Haga Norrköping newcomers Kenya Monteiro de Macedo, Eliansen Nyi-Zonga, Filippa Oom, and Ellen Stille, together with Coach Tyra Carlsten Handberg, as they represent Sweden on the international stage. 🙌 🇸🇪

EuroBasket season continues! 🏀🏆

Sweden’s U16 Men’s National Team hits the court today for the FIBA U16 EuroBasket (Division B) in Skopje 🇲🇰 running from August 6–15.

Action starts at 11:00 against Luxembourg 🇱🇺, followed by group stage matchups with Bosnia & Herzegovina 🇧🇦, Finland 🇫🇮, Bulgaria 🇧🇬, and Norway 🇳🇴.

Proud to see RIG Haga Norrköping newcomers Wilhelm Lind, David Sommar, Elliot Sperling Diene, and Viktor Juth stepping up on the international stage, together with Coach Andreas Af Kleen. Wishing the entire Swedish team great success! 🇸🇪🏀💪

Välkommen, Tyra Carlsten Handberg! 🏀

Vi är mycket glada att kunna presentera Tyra som ny coach inför säsongen 2026/27.

Tyra ansluter till oss med starka meriter från både svensk och internationell basket.

Senast kommer hon från uppdraget som coach för Sveriges DU16-landslag och dessförinnan som Executive Assistant vid UCF (University of Central Florida), där hon även arbetade nära basketprogrammet. Tidigare har hon också varit assisterande tränare vid Chadron State College i USA.

Hennes erfarenhet från både landslagsverksamhet, amerikansk collegebasket och arbete på högsta NCAA-nivå blir en stor tillgång för våra unga talanger.

Tyra om det nya uppdraget: "Jag ser fram emot att komma hem till Sverige och bli en del av RIG Haga. Tacksam för förtroendet och sjukt taggad på att köra igång med spelarna!"
