Jeres opbakning var med til at skabe en uge, hvor unge mennesker fra hele Europa mødtes gennem sport, respekt og fællesskab. Dertil lærte de, at det forpligter at være dygtig til noget. Torsdag aften spillede de med yngre børn fra nær og fjern og gav dem en rigtig fed tennisoplevelse.

One of the week’s most special moments saw our international players sharing the court with local children, reminding us that the IC community is about much more than tennis. It is about inspiring the next generation, giving back, and building friendships through sport.

What an unforgettable week in Copenhagen!
After four days of outstanding team tennis, the IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge 2026 – European Group has come to a close.
Congratulations to Great Britain, who claimed the title with an impressive 5–1 victory over Italy in the final. 🏆

🏅 One of the most meaningful moments of the tournament was the presentation of the IC Fair Play Trophy to Team Sweden. Nominated and voted for by the team captains, Sweden received the most votes in recognition of their outstanding sportsmanship, respect, and team spirit throughout the week—a true reflection of the values at the heart of the IC community.

Another touching moment at the closing ceremony came when the coaches and captains from all participating nations surprised Karina with flowers as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for her extraordinary dedication and tireless work in organizing the IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge 2026.

Their initiative reflected the gratitude felt throughout the tournament and was wholeheartedly supported by IC Denmark, all the participating teams, players, volunteers, and families.

Discovering Copenhagen together 🇩🇰❤️
After the matches Wednesday, our players explored some of Copenhagen’s most iconic landmarks—from the colourful waterfront of Nyhavn to Marmorkirken, Amalienborg, and Kongens Nytorv.
The evening ended with sunshine, laughter, and a visit to Joe & The Juice in Ny Østergade—where the very first Joe & The Juice opened its doors in 2002 THE OFFICIAL JOE & THE JUICE (House 11).
For the IC community, these moments are just as important as the matches. Exploring a new city, sharing experiences, and building friendships beyond the tennis court are all part of what makes the IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge so special.
