🍃 Connecting with my Roots 🇧🇩 🍃

Eating today the blessed, traditional way — on a banana leaf. 🇧🇩

For generations in Bangladesh, this is how food was offered; natural, humble, and pure. No fancy plates, just simplicity.

There is barakah in simplicity. When we eat with gratitude, choose what Allah has provided, and honour the traditions of our people; every meal becomes an act of remembrance and shukr.

“And eat of the provision of your Lord, and be grateful to Him.” 📖 Surah Saba (34:15)

🕌 Friday — Salawat Upon The Prophet ﷺ

✨ ’ah — The Best Day of the Week ✨

“Allah sends His Salawat (blessings, mercy) upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Allah to bless and forgive him]. O you who have believed! Send your Salawat upon him and (you should) greet him with the Islamic way of greeting.” - Surah Al-Ahzab (33:56)

💚 The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will bless him ten times in return.” - Sahih Muslim

🕌 Especially on Friday — multiply your blessings. It is the day your deeds are raised. Send abundant Salawat upon the Messenger ﷺ.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammad

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad.

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is not promised. Today is in His hands. 🤍

📖 Surah At-Talaq — 65:3

“And whoever relies upon Allah, He will be sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.” (Quran 65:3 — Surah At-Talaq, Verse 3)

Trust His timing. Trust His plan. He is the Best of Planners. 🤲🏽

🌑 When the sun dims — remember the One Who commands it. The Prophet ﷺ taught us clearly:

“The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of anyone’s death or life. So when you see them, turn to prayer, call upon your Lord, glorify Him, and give charity.” - Bukhari & Muslim

✨ A moment to reflect:
The sun — brilliant, powerful, constant — bows to the will of its Creator. When its light fades, it reminds us: nothing shines except by His permission, and nothing dims except by His command.

It is not an omen — it is an invitation.
An invitation to stand before Him, to humble ourselves, to seek His forgiveness, and to pour out our Duas.

🕌 Act upon this Sunnah:
• Perform Ṣalāt al‑Kusūf (2 rakʿahs) — in congregation at your masjid, or at home if you cannot attend
• Make abundant duʿā, istighfār, tasbīḥ & takbīr while the eclipse lasts
• Give charity — the Prophet ﷺ encouraged this at such times
• Continue until the sun returns, then return to your regular prayers with a heart renewed in gratitude.

🤲🏽 Beautiful Dua: “O Allah, make this eclipse a mercy for us, not a punishment. Forgive our sins, accept our prayer, and return Your light to us with blessings.”

The sun returns — but the lesson remains:
“And We show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the Truth.” — Quran 41:53

May Allah accept our prayers, forgive our shortcomings, and guide us by His light. 🤲🏽

🌙 THE MOON — A THE ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

Allah swt says in the Quran:

“And He has made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp.” - Surah Nuh (71:16)

“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day, and the ships that sail in the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the sky of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth — are signs for a people who use reason.” - Surah Al-Baqarah (2:164)

The Moon in Islam:

• It is Allah’s precise measure — marking time, months, seasons, and the sacred occasions (Surah Yunus 10:5)

• It never outranks the sun, nor does it compete — each follows its own ordained course, by His command.

• Its gentle glow is a reminder of mercy, calm, and guidance in the dark

• It teaches us: even in darkness, Allah places light. Even when hidden, it will return full and bright — just like His help always comes.

Reflection: The moon does not shine of itself. It reflects light from beyond. Likewise, our hearts are brightest only when we reflect the light of Allah’s guidance, not seeking to glow with pride on our own.

“It is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.” - Surah Al-Furqan (25:61)

SubhanAllah‼️how perfect is His creation 🤍

Sin carries weight in the heart, but to commit it with full knowledge — and openly — is nothing less than defiance against the Almighty Allah (GOD).

It is one thing to stumble in private and turn back in repentance; it is another to stand boldly against the limits of Allah, as if inviting His displeasure. May we always remain humble, guard our conduct, and turn back before it is too late.

“Sin is heavy — but to do it knowingly, and in public, is to dare the Almighty.”

Most people focus on calories and completely overlook micronutrients.

Omega 3s, magnesium, zinc, and calcium may not get the same attention as protein, but they play a huge role in recovery, energy, muscle function, bone health, and overall performance. The little things matter more than most people realise.
