Throughout the season, I don’t watch any competitions, apart from a few things on Instagram. But once a year, at the World Championships, I sit down and watch everything 🤓 The whole qualification round, the finals, the groups…
And I always do it with a piece of paper to write down my observations ✍️

And I highly recommend that gymnasts watch competitions from time to time as well. (This World Championship is a great opportunity.)

Learn and look for new things. Learn about both the physical and psychological aspects of competition.

Watch how different gymnasts perform different difficulties. For example, I can explain very well how to do a fouetté, but there are also many different ways to do a fouetté. I can’t always guess which of those ways will work best for each gymnast. By watching competitions, you can find a way that works better for you and improve your ex*****on, as well as learn something new.

Competitions are a source of learning and inspiration - they help a lot in your work ❤️

Brasilian championship.
I always do everything possible, but I’m also very demanding of myself. I always see what still needs to be improved, I’m constantly looking ahead and planning the next steps, improvements, and changes…

This time, I feel that the work was done well enough 😌👌 Both gymnasts reached the finals, and AnaLu got silver medal in ribbon. That means a lot to me.

This season they are competing in Level 2. Level 1 is for the gymnasts who have already progressed beyond Level 2 and those fight to join the national team. But competing in Level 2 is challenging as well.

When we arrived at the Brazilian Championship, my only wish was not to have to rest on the day of the finals 😌 But we achieved even more 🔥

Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey and contributed to this result ❤️

ginastica and , for giving everything you had on the competition floor ❤️

Thiago Carvalho GR Clube 2004 - Santos, for always being by our side, supporting us and helping us with everything ❤️

psi, for supporting us and being with us through the most difficult moments ❤️

Ana Carollina Pompeu, for helping us with the routines and for giving me a small, but very important, support during that difficult time ❤️

, for supporting me every single day throughout this challenging journey ❤️

I’d like to introduce a new format of working with me 🙌
MENTORSHIP

I’m opening 1-2 spots for individual mentorship for gymnasts.
What does that mean?

It means I will help in a complete and structured way:
- I will analyze the gymnast’s body and movement patterns
- define goals (in collaboration with the coach)
- select exercises and give homework
- adjust those tasks according to the progress
- analyze routines
- help correct technique and improve the routine

This support includes:
• 1-2 hours of video calls per week (depending on the gymnast’s schedule)
• I'm open for questions at anytime - you can ask me anything, and I will reply with detailed explanations and videos if needed
• work not only to improve today’s scores, but also to prepare the gymnast for future growth, learning new elements, and with care about health
(which means: be ready to also do rehabilitation and injury prevention exercises)

Important: this format is only possible with the coach’s consent and in collaboration with the coach.
At the very least, the coach needs to be aware of the extra workload so the gymnast does not become overloaded.
I also accept requests from coaches about what they would like me to teach or help correct.

(If you prefer, we can do all of this confidentially - I know many people don’t like to make their training process public)

*Monthly payment

ℹ️ If you’re interested, send me a DM - I’ll be happy to answer all your questions 🙌

Available in English 🇺🇸🇬🇧, Spanish 🇪🇸🇦🇷, Portuguese 🇧🇷🇵🇹, and Russian 😌👌

Since the beginning of this season, I already created 47 routines 🙌
I really enjoy the creative process - I always try to make something interesting and original ✨

Everything starts with the music. If I need to choose it, I ask a coach or parents to send me 1-2 videos of the gymnast so I can see how she moves and what kind of music might suit her best.
The music has to be cool, but it shouldn’t be “more powerful” than the gymnast herself, so that it doesn’t overshadow her.

Sometimes I look for some movements on YouTube before creating the routine, especially if the music comes from a dance piece, a music video, or a film…
That always gives me ideas for hand style, steps, and details.
I can also send these materials to the gymnast so she can better understand the idea behind the routine and the movements.
Each routine should feel like a performance - something memorable ✨

Then, when the gymnast comes, we choose together which difficulties and movements we’re going to include in the routine.
And then pure mathematics begins: while listening to the music, I place the movements in an order that allows us to move quickly and fluidly from one element to another, putting jumps and throws on the strongest parts of the music, and presenting each difficulty at the most comfortable and favorable moment…

After that, I choose the directions and draw everything out on paper - sometimes this preparatory part of the work can take up to two hours, especially with more advanced gymnasts, who perform many difficulties in the routine and require more care in the presentation.

Then we put everything together on the carpet, correct what didn’t work, create the connections, and adjust the artistic details.
At the end, we record two videos: one without music, with explanations of the details, and another one with music, marking most of the movements.
And that’s it 😊🙌

The routine creation season here in Brazil is already coming to an end, but there is also the possibility to create online 💻
(I do it together with the gymnast via video call.
Just message me if you need it 🙌)

Just a few moments from creations of this season ✨
(Of course, all of them still needs to be learned and trained in detail, so these are just sketches 😌)

Thank you to everyone who came to me to create routines this season, and I wish you all good luck in competitions! 💪

*46 routines for girls and 1 for a boy

And 3 more still to go for my own group 😌

We’ve started the season…
and I’m already tired 🫠😁

I wrote a text about it in my notes a week ago…
And you know, when I take these emotions out of my head, it feels better.
So I won’t whine here 😌 This tiredness is a part of the journey.

This year I’m working with the Junior group.
It’s interesting.
(Except of Juniors, I create many routines these months - all together it’s quite exhausting 🫠)

We’re still looking for a contract with group, but today, in our fourth week of work, I can already say that we’re doing well.
Everything is in order.

Is it easy? No.
We have a lot of work to do.
Sometimes we have conflicts. But not the kind where we shout or explode with anger - they’re different type of conflicts, where we try to understand each other,
to understand the motivation, desires, possibilities, to find middle ground…

I imagine it’s not easy:
being a teen,
moving to a new coach,
moving to a new category,
training a body that is also changing…
and working with me 🤭

Because on the one hand, I work very carefully - with lots of explanations, a lot of patience, I pay close attention to injuries…
but on the other hand, I also ask a lot 🤷‍♀️😌

By the way, one of the hardest things is making the gymnasts believe that I really need their legs lower - but more correct 😅
(“Lower? What do you mean lower? 🤔” - I can see it in their eyes 😅)

That’s why I don’t ask for everything at once, or for perfection right away - I just ask for quite a lot of specific things 😌

I believe in my Junior team ❤️
And I really enjoy working with them 🙌

I had my birthday yesterday, but we were completely inside the competition process physically and mentally…
Good thing my mother taught me to celebrate my birthday for the whole week 😄
(Because I almost never could celebrate it on the actual day - I always had trainings 😂 But I was never sad about it. I was just sure it was okay, because I had the whole week to celebrate 😊 What a smart mother I have 😄)
So I’m still the birthday girl)

All my childhood, from the very first moments I remember myself consciously, I was doing gymnastics (starting from age 6), and I finished when I was 17.
Did I like it when I was a child? I liked being a gymnast. And I liked some trainings… But other trainings… The training process didn't havemany happy moments, except being with friends.
I’m not going to tell you everything - I had quite the usual gymnast package from the 2000s: some thoughts about how awful I was, some hatred toward my body, everyday guilt for not being good enough… Nothing special for those years and for gymnastics.

Actually, I wasn’t that bad and I definitely did my best. I was just training in an Olympic center, where they automatically expected a higher-level gymnast from me. And even despite all the tough things that happened during that period, I still loved gymnastics.
That’s what helped me go through all of it - and that’s why I came back a couple of years after finishing my career 😌

Gymnastics gave me a lot of different and useful experiences.
For example, celebrating your birthday on any day you can and whole week 😄

When I have a reason for something, it gives me energy and I can go through anything.
Honestly, I was happy to be with my Brazilian team participating in the Brazilian Championship on my birthday 🙌
I can’t say it turned out to be a very happy competition (I mean the competition part itself), but it was a very useful experience that will help us and work for us in the future 😌
Not all life is complete happiness - some moments are more about experience 😅

Sometimes you just keep going.

For some reason I like to wish to my gymnasts “good luck!” Although I actually think that luck almost doesn’t exist in sports…
And there’s also that superstition that wishing luck doesn't being good luck)
So, for example, in Argentina coaches sometimes wish "a lot of sh*t!” one to each other, what means the same thing just from the other side 😌

But does luck exist in sports or not?
Honestly, I think there is only a little bit of luck.
But it’s not “luck” like magic.
Anyone who waits for magic won’t win, because that kind of luck doesn’t help in sports.

And what does help?
Hard working 🤷‍♀️
And hard working with intelligence.
Without getting stuck on whether you had / have / will have luck or not.
That helps.
And it helps a lot.
*without intelligence, it doesn’t 🙃

The ones who work day after day, improving their abilities (physical and let’s not forget psychological abilities too), end up having more “luck” in the end.

So yes, sports luck exists.
That’s why I like wishing “good luck!”
Because I want my gymnasts to want to have luck - and to work hard and smart to get it 😌

And I try to set a good example :)
I work a lot to have that luck, because I like being lucky 😈

Watching a tournament isn’t as fun as it may look at first glance 😌
It’s actually more like a job – if you watch the whole competition. But it’s a very useful kind of work.

Once in a while I do this: I pick a competition and watch it. (This time I was lucky – a great tournament came to me in person 😊🍀) Sometimes I really watch all the gymnasts. Like last Thursday, when I followed the World Championship qualification. I was watching from 9 am to 9 pm (they finished around 10, but I just couldn’t keep going anymore).

It’s always interesting to see where gymnastics exists, where it’s strong, and where it’s growing. You know I love traveling and working in different countries 😊 That’s why I’m curious about the full picture 😌👌

Any special thoughts after this tournament? Yes – I want to create series again! There’s so much freedom in creating right now 😍
I have some ideas and a list of music I’d love to bring to life in new routines ✨
(And it seems like soon I’ll have that space to create 😌)

Also, I always take notes while watching. For example, I noticed that many gymnasts are using a new (or not so new) type of throw with clubs. I liked the idea and I’m going to teach my gymnasts to do it 🤓 I also thought about some new masteries, so I want to test them with my gymnasts – to see which ideas actually work 🤔

You don’t have to watch competitions from 9 am to 9 pm. But whether you’re a coach or a gymnast, you should watch them from time to time.
Because that brings you:
- experience
- new ideas and space for fresh thoughts
- motivation 🔥

I’m charged up for great work now 🤓👌🔥
