Sometimes life puts something in front of us that we would never have chosen.
Like the buffalo turning toward the storm, we meet what is here. Feel it. Understand it. Walk through it.
Observe, don’t absorb.
The walk itself teaches us to release. Nothing stays exactly as it is. Not the fear. Not the pain. Not even the storm.
Whatever comes, will come to pass.
Maybe that’s the quiet medicine, learning to find peace without needing to know what happens next.
Let the mystery unfold.
Still learning…— Nikki T

Currently listening. PThe Dhammapada translated by Eknath Easwaran.
Every chapter reminds me that meditation isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about seeing more clearly what has always been here beneath the noise.
The ancient sages turned their attention inward, exploring the mind with the same curiosity that science brings to the natural world. Different methods, different questions, yet both begin with the same invitation:
Observe carefully.
The more I practice, the more I realize that awareness isn’t something we create. It’s something we remember.
A timeless conversation between ancient wisdom and the science of self-observation. 📖🧘♀️ Nikki T.

Healing has a way of reminding us what truly matters.
One of my favorite reminders is this: I am a perennial student.
This season has become another teacher.
It has taught me to receive instead of always giving.
To rest without guilt.
To trust the intelligence of the body as it quietly does what it was designed to do.
It has also reminded me that healing is rarely a solitary journey.
To everyone who has held me in your prayers, sent Reiki, kind messages, or simply paused to think of me… thank you. I have felt your love every step of the way.
And then there’s Edgar… my little guardian.
He hasn’t left my side.
No words.
No advice.
Just quiet presence.
Sometimes love doesn’t need to say anything. It simply stays, just like my family and friends besides me.
This body is healing.
This heart is strong.
This spirit remains steady.
Like the phoenix, I know this season is not the end of my story, but the fire that prepares me to rise.
I’ll be back on the mat soon, with an even deeper appreciation for breath, movement, and this beautiful human experience we all share.
Until then…
I’ll keep breathing.
I’ll keep healing.
I’ll keep trusting.
See you on the mat soon. ❤️🩹

Some people think forgiveness means reopening the door.
It doesn’t.
Forgiveness is releasing the poison, not rehiring the person who handed it to you.
I can forgive you and still remember what your actions revealed.
I can wish you healing and still refuse your proximity.
I can pray for your growth and still keep my boundaries intact.
Because forgiveness is about freeing my heart.
Access is about protecting my peace.
And not everyone who asks for reconciliation has earned restoration.
Some people don’t miss you… they miss the access they lost to you.
I’m not bitter.
I’m not angry.
I’m simply no longer willing to abandon my discernment just to make others comfortable.
Forgiveness does not erase memory.
Wisdom is remembering the lesson without carrying the resentment.
That’s not coldness.
That’s clarity.
Nikki’s Sutra:
“Forgiveness releases the weight.
Boundaries protect the peace.
Not every healed wound deserves reopened doors.”

Some people enter your life like déjà vu for the soul.Certain connections feel older than this lifetime.
Some arrive like medicine. Some arrive like a storm.
Some will heal you. Some will break you open. Some will use you, take advantage of your kindness, mistaking your heart for weakness.
But every soul serves a purpose.
Some become lessons. Some become scars. And some become home.
The rare ones…the ones who stay through your healing and your unraveling, through your darkness and your becoming, those are the souls written into your heart long before you met them.
Not coincidence.Not luck.
Something deeper that your soul recognized.

A head full of knowledge may impress,
but it is not what makes a life meaningful.
It is the heart that stays open,
the ear that truly listens,
and the hand that chooses to serve.
Because the outer will change.
The face will age.
The body will shift.
But what you cultivate within,
your kindness, your presence, your willingness to care,
that is what endures.
So measure your life not by what you know,
but by how you love,
how you show up,
and how you leave others feeling.
That is the beauty that does not fade.

If you haven’t seen me lately,
I’ve been busy getting my s**ts together.
Don’t try to decode me
from a distance.
You’ll create stories
that have nothing to do with me.
I didn’t disappear…
I woke up.
I talk different.
I walk different.
I move different.
Idle talk and nonsense drama?
That s**t bores me.
I got clear on what matters.
And I chose me.
Yeah, I’ve changed.
And I’m not done evolving yet.

You will be too much for some people, those are not your people. Thou shall not let low-vibin’ sketchy-ass energy pe*****te thy aura!

Meditation Journal:
Be intentional about who you allow into your space. The right people won’t just witness your growth, they’ll honor it, expand with you, and meet you where you are becoming. You can feel the truth of it in your body, in your breath, in your peace.
Don’t feel obligated to linger, waiting for some magical moment of alignment. Not everyone is meant to grow with you. Some are moving through empty spaces, unconsciously drawing from your energy instead of pouring into it. And some carry quiet jealousy, comfortable with you doing well but unsettled when you rise beyond them. They may wish to be you, yet hope you remain small enough to match their comfort.
Pay attention. The right ones ignite your spirit. The rest will slowly drain it.
Protect your energy like it’s sacred, because it is. It’s the force shaping everything you’re here to create.
