🏏 Village Cricket Day – 1st August 2026 🇵🇱🤝🇬🇧

On 1st August, Krakow Cricket Club had the absolute pleasure of hosting our friends from Ashton Supernovas Cricket Club (UK) for a memorable day of village cricket.

It was a fantastic occasion filled with competitive cricket, outstanding displays of skill, and, above all, true sportsmanship and camaraderie. While there were some great performances on the field, the real success of the day was the friendships strengthened and the smiles shared by everyone involved.

As hosts, KCC made sure our guests were well looked after throughout the day—with plenty of refreshments, good company, and a well-earned BBQ after the matches. That's what cricket is all about! 🍔🌭🥤

A special thank you goes to our KCC stalwarts, Charlie Mason and Kaustubh Deshmane, for leading the day so brilliantly. Their hard work, organisation, and hospitality ensured the event ran seamlessly and that everyone felt welcome from start to finish.

A huge thank you to every player, volunteer, and supporter who helped make the day such a wonderful success. Events like these remind us that cricket has an incredible ability to bring people together, no matter where we come from.

We already can't wait to welcome **Ashton Supernovas Cricket Club** back to Kraków next year for another fantastic weekend of cricket, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

🏏 Kraków Premier League (KPL) Season 6 – Champions Crowned! 🏆

What an incredible journey it has been! After 4 months, 32 thrilling matches, and countless unforgettable moments, the Kraków Premier League Season 6 has officially come to an end.

KPL 6.0 will always hold a special place in Kraków's cricket history as it was the city's first-ever hard-ball cricket league. This milestone marks another major step forward in the growth of cricket in Kraków and Poland, and we are incredibly proud to have been part of it.

The grand finale had absolutely everything you could ask for—explosive batting, brilliant bowling, edge-of-the-seat moments, outstanding sportsmanship, mutual respect, discipline, and of course... the rain! 🌧️ It poured relentlessly, but nothing could dampen the fighting spirit and determination of both teams. It was a final worthy of the championship.

👏 A huge shout-out to the runners-up, Kraków Mavericks. You gave us a fantastic contest, and we're confident you'll come back even stronger next season!

Kraków Cricket Club is delighted to congratulate our very own Farhad Khan on his selection to represent the Poland A Team! 🇵🇱👏

This is a well-earned achievement and a testament to Farhad’s dedication, hard work, and outstanding performances on the field. Everyone at KCC is incredibly proud to see one of our own earn the opportunity to wear the national colours.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Shiv Shetty of Warsaw Cricket Club, who has also been selected for the Poland A Team. Although Shiv represents WCC, both he and Farhad call Kraków home, making this a particularly proud moment for the city’s cricket community.

It’s inspiring to see Farhad Khan and Shiv Shetty representing Poland A, and we wish them both every success as they take this exciting step in their cricketing journey.

🏏 A Match for the History Books! 🏏

Every cricket club has a few games that become part of its folklore. On 14 June 2026, Krakow Cricket Club added another unforgettable chapter to its history.

Despite the weather playing a constant game of hide-and-seek between sunshine and rain, and with the ground damp and slippery, the KCC players arrived with one thing on their minds: cricket, courage, and commitment.

💥 The Opening Masterclass

Captain Farhad Khan led from the front, partnering with the ever-dangerous Deepak Kumar at the top of the order. Facing a quality pace attack known for troubling batsmen in the past, the challenge was real.

What followed was nothing short of spectacular.

After a rain-shortened 19 overs, the scoreboard read:

🏏 Farhad Khan – 144 off 67 ball
🏏 Deepak Kumar – 82 off 48 balls

The opposition bowlers searched for answers, but Farhad and Deepak had already written the script.

With 242 on the board, KCC needed a strong start—and they got exactly that.

Dominic opened with trademark accuracy, while debutant Alok Singh showcased his deadly inswingers. The pair ripped through the top order, leaving the opposition struggling at 27/3 after just 4 overs.

But the best was yet to come...

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the legend.

Ramon Shindler, better known as the Silver Fox of Krakow, reached into his bag of tricks and produced something truly magical:

🎩✨ A HATTRICK! ✨🎩

Not his first. Not his second.

His THIRD career hattrick!

Even more astonishing, this was his first hattrick since 1970, when he was playing for West Essex Cricket Club — ending a wait of 56 years between hattricks and adding another extraordinary chapter to an already remarkable cricket journey

At the remarkable age of 74, Ramon continues to defy expectations and rewrite records. Many world-class bowlers finish their careers without a single hattrick. Ramon now has three.

⭐ Debutants Shine

Another debutant, Sahil Sharma, impressed with his pace and control, picking up 2 wickets in his spell.

Vijay and Upen chipped in with important overs, keeping the pressure on throughout the innings.

Behind the stumps, Parth Kumar was outstanding. Clean takes, lightning-quick hands, and sharp wicketkeeping ensured the batsmen stayed firmly inside their crease. No chances. No risks. Just top-class keeping.

In the field, Ahad and Sunil were equally impressive, putting in a tireless shift with sharp fielding, quick stops, and relentless energy. Their efforts helped KCC maintain constant pressure on the batsmen, turning singles into dots and ensuring the opposition never found any breathing room.
