Mohammad Imran Junior made his PSL debut in 2021 for Peshawar Zalmi.He had a very good PSL season and it was very difficult to hit him for boundaries in the whole tournament other than the final where Sohaib Maqsood hit him for a couple of sixes.This was also the debut PSL season for Wasim Junior and Shahnwaz Dhani, both of them also bowled with pace and were much talked about.For me, during that tournament, Imran Junior was a better bowler than both Wasim Junior and Shahnwaz Dhani.Imran Junior should have been on T20 selection radars before Dhani and now when Dhani has better first class numbers,Imran Junior is selected ahead of him for test series.
Given Hesson's mindset,Imran Randhawa or Razaullah are more likely to play than Imran Junior.Still if Imran Junior gets a chance, hopefully he can put up a performance which will be remembered..

The women's team showing that they can go ahead of the Men's team,no matter how bad they have performed.

Pakistan men's cricket team last time beat India on September 4, 2022.Pakistan's women team did this last time on October 7, 2022.So it has been 4 years since Pakistan beat India in any format.
The women's team is going to play against India today in the Women's Asia cup.Hopefully they can do an upset and beat India although its unlikely.
The men's team will also most likely play against India in the Asian Games in a few weeks time.

Listening to Mike Hesson's press conference,I have a feeling that he will go for an all-rounder in the playing eleven for the third test.Imran Randhawa, Arafat Minhas or may be both.Seeing the conditions so far in the series, Arafat should not be in the playing eleven.Saim is mostly likely to play and he can bowl decent enough spin.So three seamers,one seam bowling all-rounder plus Saim as fifth bowling option will be ok.Although I would prefer Imran Junior(being a left-arm pacer) ahead of Imran Randhawa.But Hesson is the man in charge and he would definitely prefer all-rounder.

Two different images of Misbah come to my mind,first in his playing time and second him in some coaching, selection or administrative role.
Misbah as a player brings into mind his first four years from 2000 to 2004 where got few chances occasionally in both tests and ODIs. He showed glimpses of his talent by hitting Warne for two straight sixes in a very difficult situation in an ODI match.2007 T20 world cup selection was the turning point of his career.He got his reward, cemented his place and became the main pillar of batting especially in ODIs.Misbah's period as a test captain is also worth remembering.That win against Sri Lanka in UAE chasing 300 plus in two sessions and becoming number 1 ranked side 2 years after that in England are the two highest points of his test captaincy.
But as a coach or selector, Misbah's role hasn't been as constructive as it should have been.I mean a person who couldn't get selected in his prime years should have been more keen towards merit and not ignoring talented guys for seniors.

First I want to say that both Sarfraz and Gul should have been removed after the completion of the third test.
Now I come to the point that why they should have been removed.Sarfraz is never a test level coach and most people agree with that.In case of Umar Gul, some people say that he was doing a good job.We need to understand a few things here.First Abbas has given a match-winning performance with his accurate bowling many times before and I don't think Umar Gul has any role in it.Khurram Shehzad's bowling was worst than before this series in the two test matches.He bowled at poor lines and bowled many no balls Muhammad Ali was good in patches but mostly in-consistent.Umar Gul also gave an irresponsible statement after first test that bowlers couldn't bowl well due to cold weather...
