Meeting and learning from some of the greats of squash in Egypt!!!!

1. Amir Wagih: Met him first in 2005 British Junior Squash Championship in England. He is on of the greatest squash coaches in Egypt 🇪🇬.

2. Omer Musad (The Hammer of Thor): Ex-world number 2. He has an academy in Egypt now.

3. Coach Islam. Who trained Pakistani junior team back in 2018 in a camp! Although that wasn’t a successful camp. we discussed a lot of things about the role of system in making champions.

I am thankful to Markhor Squash BARD Foundation for providing such a great opportunity to meet and talk to world best coaches and players.

پاکستان کے پانچ رکنی اسکواش دستے میں ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل آف سپورٹس، خیبر پختونخوا کے سینئر کوچ طاہر اقبال خان اور نوجوان کھلاڑی دانش سکندر اور عبید اللہ جبکہ پنجاب سے سہیل عدنان اور محمد مصطفیٰ مصر روانہ ہوگئے ہیں۔

قومی دستہ مصری جونیئر اوپن اسکواش چیمپئن شپ 2026 میں شرکت کے بعد مصر میں منعقد ہونے والے تین ہفتوں پر مشتمل اعلیٰ کارکردگی کے خصوصی تربیتی کیمپ میں بھی حصہ لے گا، جہاں عالمی شہرت یافتہ مصری کوچ عمر عبدالعزیز تربیت فراہم کریں گے۔

روانگی سے قبل سینئر کوچ طاہر اقبال خان نے کہا کہ اس باوقار چیمپئن شپ اور تربیتی کیمپ کے لیے منتخب ہونا ان کے لیے اور ان کے شاگردوں کے لیے ایک بڑا اعزاز ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ گزشتہ کئی برسوں کی محنت کا ثمر مل رہا ہے اور وہ مصر کے جدید کوچنگ نظام سے زیادہ سے زیادہ سیکھ کر اس تجربے کو پاکستان، خصوصاً خیبر پختونخوا میں اسکواش کے فروغ اور نوجوان کھلاڑیوں کی بہتری کے لیے استعمال کریں گے۔

انہوں نے ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل آف سپورٹس خیبر پختونخوا، خیبر پختونخوا اسکواش ایسوسی ایشن، مارخور اسکواش فاؤنڈیشن اور بارڈ فاؤنڈیشن کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان اداروں کے تعاون سے نہ صرف یہ تربیتی موقع ممکن ہوا بلکہ مختصر وقت میں ٹیم کے ویزوں کے انتظامات بھی مکمل کیے گئے۔

امید کی جا رہی ہے کہ یہ بین الاقوامی تجربہ پاکستانی کھلاڑیوں اور کوچز کی فنی اور تکنیکی صلاحیتوں میں مزید نکھار لائے گا اور مستقبل میں پاکستان میں اسکواش کے فروغ میں اہم کردار ادا کرے گا۔
