Whether they win or lose, I have nothing but respect for these women who answered the call to represent our country. 🇵🇭
I also understand and respect the decisions of those who chose not to join for their own personal reasons. Every athlete has a story, a struggle, and circumstances that we may not fully know or understand. Some players declined national team duties due to personal, recovery, or other considerations, and they have expressed support for the team.
But today, I choose to applaud the players who stepped onto the court, wore the Philippine colors, and carried the weight of representing our nation. Led by veterans like Valdez, Gonzaga, Molina these athletes answered the call and gave their time, effort, and heart for the flag. Alyssa herself said she would "never get tired of representing the country."
Supporting these women does not mean disregarding the feelings or choices of others. We can respect everyone while still appreciating those who chose to fight for the Philippines.
Thank you, Alas Pilipinas. Win or lose, you have made our country proud. 🇵🇭🏐❤️

Look at how Alyssa Valdez continues to answer the call and represent the Philippines whenever she is needed. That’s something I truly admire about her. Her passion, dedication, and love for the country never fade, which is why she will always be “The Phenom.” 🇵🇭🏐
What makes it more admirable is that there were times she was not included or invited to represent the country, making others question her value and capability. Yet when the Philippines needed someone to step up, Valdez was once again called to wear the flag with pride.
Despite everything, she continues to show up with humility, grace, and a genuine heart to serve the country. That kind of character is what makes her not just a great athlete, but a true inspiration.

The 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Star Showcase is taking place on May 1, 2026, at the Candon City Arena in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
