In his return to Gilas Pilipinas, Kai Sotto delivered a monster performance with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks, helping the Philippines complete an incredible comeback from 18 points down to defeat Jordan, 82 to 81, in overtime.

But his biggest play came when Gilas needed it most.

With Jordan having one final opportunity to steal the game, Sotto rose at the rim and rejected the potential game winning shot to seal the victory for the Philippines.

After a long absence from national team duty, Kai returned and immediately reminded everyone how much his size, rebounding, scoring, and rim protection can change Gilas on both ends of the floor.

The win improves Gilas to 3 and 4 in Group E and keeps the Philippines fighting for a place in the 2027 FIBA World Cup, with another massive game against Iran coming next.
