The team ended their Palaro journey as quarterfinalists, finishing 6th overall, in a competition that demanded their very best from start to finish.

It was never an easy path, as they faced powerhouse regions such as CALABARZON and SOCCSKSARGEN, teams known for their depth, experience, and strong sepak takraw programs. Every match required courage, focus, and perseverance.

Despite the challenges, the team consistently showed discipline, unity, and heart. They played not only with skill, but with a deep sense of pride in representing Tacloban City division.

Although they did not reach the podium, their journey reflected growth, resilience, and valuable experience gained from competing at a high level.

Beyond the results, what stands out most is their effort and commitment throughout the tournament. Their Palaro experience remains a meaningful chapter marked by gratitude, learning, and sincere pride in how they competed and carried themselves. 🤍

𝐒𝐊 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟎𝟓 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬

In a show of pride and support for our young athletes, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay 105 grants cash incentives to outstanding delegates who will represent Barangay 105 in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa 2026. The recognition took place during the opening ceremony of Palarong Pambarangay 2026 on April 25.

The honored athletes earned their spots after excelling in the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet 2026 competitions and will carry not only the banner of Barangay 105 but also Region 8 in the national games, scheduled to be held in Agusan del Sur on May 24.

Among the recipients were Charles Jazper Jabien, Aivan Niemes, Niehlron Dador, and John Robert Sardillo, who clinched victory in Sepak Takraw (Elementary Boys category) from Greendale Residences Integrated School, and Janela A. Barrite of B. Bulante Elementary School, who delivered an impressive multi-event performance in athletics:

Gold Medal — Triple Jump
Silver Medal — Long Jump
Bronze Medal — 100-meter Dash
Bronze Medal — 4x4 Relay

SK Officials expressed their confidence in the delegates, emphasizing that the incentives aim not only to reward past achievements but also to motivate continued excellence.

“These athletes embody discipline, determination, and pride in our community. We stand behind them as they compete at the Palarong Pambansa.” SK Chairperson Alfon said.

As the countdown to the Palarong Pambansa begins, Barangay 105 rallies in support of its young champions, hopeful that their dedication will translate into further victories on a larger stage.

Special thanks to Sir Jayson Jabien for making this possible, and to Ma’am Charlyn Payla Jabien for the all-out support. We also thank our school principal, sir Raul S. Hilvano, for allowing us to use the gymnasium as the venue, and sir Gary L. Abala as our official referee.

To Ate Jo and Ate Clara for ensuring the readiness of billeting, and to Kuya Mario for being one call away from day one of preparations until the final day.

Above all, we give thanks to our Almighty Father for the good weather, fair results, and for making this tournament a success. 🙏✨

This decision is made to ensure full compliance with government directives prioritizing safety, proper coordination, and adherence to existing regulations.

We sincerely thank everyone for your support and understanding.
