Hello po, I am Rhadlee Marzan from Santa Ignacia, Tarlac and a National Athlete.

First, all glory to God for giving me the strength, protection, and guidance out on the platform.

Leaving the World Championship with a Gold and Silver medal.

I fell a bit short and missed my final deadlift after tearing a deep gash on my hand, but I am incredibly grateful to walk away safe and bring these medals home for the country. This prep tested my limits, but it taught me lessons I needed to learn. I promise to bounce back even stronger in the next one.

This accomplishment belongs to everyone who stood behind me.

To my parents, my sibling, and my girlfriend, thank you for your unconditional love, for keeping me grounded, and for constantly lifting my spirits when things got hard. To my Marzan, Granadozo, Batuan, and Arellano families, thank you for your endless support.

A proud moment for Tarlac Agricultural University! The University President; Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and the entire TAU community celebrate the outstanding victory of TAU–Laboratory School Grade 11 student-athlete; John Zuriel Silverio, who secured the silver medal in the Sub-Junior U59 weight class at the 2026 Equipped Nationals on August 8 at Robinsons Malabon, Metro Manila.

Silverio posted a career-high 402.5-kg total, anchored by a 145-kg squat, 75-kg bench press, and 182.5-kg deadlift, placing second among strong competitors in his division. His latest achievement adds another milestone to his rising powerlifting career, following his gold-medal finish in the U53 Sub-Junior division at the 2025 Equipped Nationals and his silver-medal performance, highlighted by a national-record squat, at the 2026 Raw Nationals.

President Salunson takes pride in Silverio’s achievement, recognizing the young athlete’s discipline, perseverance, and determination as reflections of the university’s commitment to developing well-rounded, high-performing students.

The entire TAU community proudly congratulates John Zuriel for bringing another podium finish to the University and looks forward to his pursuit of qualification for the 2027 Raw Nationals and, ultimately, the international stage.

John Zuriel Silverio, a Grade 11 student from Tarlac Agricultural University–Laboratory School, secured a silver medal in the Sub-Junior 59kg weight class at the National Powerlifting Competition held on August 8, 2026, at Robinsons Malabon, Metro Manila.

Competing against top young powerlifters on the national stage, Silverio delivered a strong performance across powerlifting’s three core disciplines: the squat, bench press, and deadlift, weighing in at 56.55kg.

His hours of dedicated training were on full display as he opened with a remarkable 145kg squat, followed by a 75kg bench press, and capped off the competition with a powerful 182.5kg deadlift. This brought his total to a career-high 402.5kg—marking a new personal best.

“For me, the pressure I felt during the competition was a privilege,” Silverio shared.

Each lift stood as a testament to the discipline and hard work he put in leading up to the event. Leaving the national stage with silver in hand, Silverio has officially raised the bar for his next competition.
